The Gift Makes Room for You
Proverbs 18:16 – A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
As Solomon describes in Proverbs, it is the gift that makes room for a man, not the other way around. We are to bring glory to the Lord through our good works (Matthew 5:14-16; 1 Corinthians 12) – the gifts are HIS, used for HIS purpose, and bring HIM glory upon the earth.
The gift precedes the person.
As we allow God’s gift to be manifested through us upon the earth, He will create ‘space’ for His gift to operate. HIS gift is made to bring us before great men. Those that are great upon the earth will have an opportunity to hear and receive the gospel and all other spiritual manifestations as the Lord allows. Those great men have influence upon those within their circles, and both great and lowly will be able to recognize and receive the gifts (and its benefits) and give glory to God. We are not to make ourselves known by using His gifts. God is to be known through the gift(s) He has graciously given to us. Let the gift God has given you to make the room for you. All you have to do is remain humble and ready to allow the gift to be presented to the people.
God has given you a gift, and gifts are made to be shared.
Gifts are given without cost and given out of a cheerful heart.
Gifts are made to bring comfort, healing, reconciliation, joy, and peace.
Gifts are given to bring glory to our Father in Heaven.
