Love
Take the first step to love. Not everyone around you will love you. People will hate you. They will be mad at you. They will find ways to take advantage of you and persecute you. Even people close to you.
Be the first to take a step toward love. Go to God with your feelings. Make a conscious, deliberate decision to love and forgive. Smile. Be nice. Give to others freely without cost. Believe.
What does it mean to love someone as yourself (Matthew 22:36-40)?
1. It does not matter how another person treats you. Their behavior is not your standard, whether they behave in good or bad ways.
Choose to love…
1–LOVE. Love is patient, kind, does not envy or boast. Love is not arrogant, rude, or self-seeking. Love is not irritable or resentful. Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing but with the truth. Love bears, believes, hopes, and ensures all things. Love NEVER fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).
Choose to display such love toward your spouse…in the best and worst of times.
Whether the sun is shining or the clouds are hovering, God never leaves you.
Love your neighbor as yourself. Your closest neighbors are those in your home.
Just as there are many colors in this heart, there are many ways you can show love to others.
Love others as yourself. They may be going through the same thing as you or something God brought you out of.
Love does not fail to accomplish its mission.
Love is kind…in spite of a person’s behavior.
