What brings you closer to the Lord?

Is there a song that draws you near? A person that keeps you focused on carrying your cross? What thoughts allow you to stand in adversity? Is there a scripture that keeps you from sin?

There will never be another you - EVER!  What draws you closer to God may not work for someone else. Your past, present, likes, dislikes, demeanor, emotions, talents, gifts, etc. are separate ‘ingredients’ to bring you closer to God and keep you before His presence.

Instead of following the crowd, ask God to reveal the person you are and what you need to draw you closer to Him. As you learn about yourself, God can help you provide safeguards to keep you out of sin and in God’s perfect will.

This isn’t about going to another level in God or receiving a greater anointing. It’s just about staying before the Father and remaining in His will. Our motive must be to stay free of sin and obedient to God.

There’s enough stuff out there trying to pull you further from God, so what brings you closer?!
