Happy Birthday to me! As birthdays come and go, their importance and meaning change. As a child, I couldn’t wait to open presents, eat birthday cake, and run around with friends – it was MY DAY! March 24th was all about me!

Though my perspective on birthdays is dramatically different now, I’ve learned an important lesson today. Even on a day when the ‘world’ gives me the ‘right’ to celebrate me, I can still use this day to give to others.

Two days ago, Tonya (my wife) learned that her grandmother will be having open heart surgery early next week. We will be departing from Hawaii within the next 24 hours to see her in North Carolina before she goes into surgery and to be with her family.

I will be going to support Tonya and her family to share words of encouragement, prayer, a shoulder of support, and anything else to ease their burden in any way. Today is my day to give; to be a blessing; and to share the life of Jesus which is light of men (John 1:4).

NO DAY should remove my purpose of being a blessing to others. I am a Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ everyday! I was born to bless!

Acts 20:35 (KJV) - ...It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Please say a short prayer for Tonya's grandmother Lossie. Thank you. God bless.
