In being ‘philosophers’ of Christianity, it is our goal to seek wisdom and to enlighten others. The Holy Bible and the lives of men and women that go (and have gone) before us, provide a wealth of insight and knowledge into the very will of God. As we build upon the foundation of Jesus Christ, we will continue through the fear of the Lord, prayer, teaching, and the life experiences that shape us as disciples of our Lord
(Proverbs 9:10;
James 1:5-8;
Psalm 51:6).
As God wills, He will allow us a 'platform' to re-establish truth.
In our purpose of re-establishing truth, we do not to look for new fads, gimmicks, or marketing schemes to increase our stature or prominence. As we've seen in our history, fads come and go, but Jesus remains the same (Hebrews 13:8).
Sadly, many people (including myself at one time) used concepts, teachings, or principles to impress and entertain rather than expose, reveal, and convict.
Therefore, it is the desire of Spiritual Combatants to refocus the attention of our brothers and sisters in the faith to that which has been passed over, forgotten, mishandled, and purposely erased. Lord willing, we will be able to save what has been lost, find what has been discarded, redirect detours of thought, and bring our understanding (as a whole) into clear focus.
Our methods may not be conventional or logical in the estimation of this world (or even the church), but our purpose is not to please people or follow others - it is to bring glory to God and complete the work He has set before us. |
