I've just completed my third Seminary course. Throughout these courses, I can truly say I haven't been dedicated to them. During the first and second courses I was building the Spiritual Combatants website (especially during the second course) and this last one, I glided through. I had been treating these courses like high school or undergraduate courses...but I'm in for a rude awakening if I don't get with the program!
Seminary courses (Masters Degree) require more reading and have detailed assignments. It's almost like taking two or three undergraduate classes - they're no joke! But there's so much I want to do: write journal entries, devotionals, bible studies, and books; learn a new animation program; etc., but I can't do it all. I'm one of those people that can't focus on two things at once. I like to put all of my energy into one thing and place the others on the curb. So, when I wanted to build the website, I didn't put much into my studies and it showed (in my grade).
I'm passing...so that's no problem, but I know I'm not living up to my own potential. I realize that if I'm going to be a Seminary student, I cannot do so many other things. Seminary must be the main priority! Therefore, some things will have to change...
I'm between classes right now, so I'm trying to catch up on my writing (I have about five in the queue), clean up my room, and help my wife upgrade her sound system in the truck. I only have one week, so I'll be blazing it up...then, it's back to the 'library' for a dedicated term of Old Testament Orientation I.
