Free Book: Living Out of Lust

Living Out of Lust by Hamp Lee III

For almost my entire life, I've struggled with various forms of sexual addiction. I once thought it would be impossible for me to live without sinning sexually. Like many others, I found myself in a cycle of temptation-sin-repent-temptation-sin ...looking for a way out.

While stationed in Korea (2004), God told me that I didn't have to sin (sexually). Over the past two years, the Lord has shared various principles to help me live out His statement. By God's amazing grace and mercy, He has allowed me to prepare these principles as a book for my edification and yours.

Living Out of Lust exposes the poison of sexual sin and God's path from its deadly sting. It's not impossible to overcome sexual temptation! You don't have to continue living in the shadows of despair, guilt, and shame. You can be free! Allow God to show you how...

These are not in any particular order:

YOU MUST PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN AND BE FIRM IN YOUR POSITION!!

Know yourself. You will be tested and/or tempted based on WHO you are and what Satan can find in you. You are in a war and the enemy will use your weaknesses to destroy you.

QUICKLY establish the relationship as being NOTHING more than professional.

Do not go to any home/room alone (it includes dayrooms) of the opposite sex (unless in an OFFICIAL capacity...VERY OFFICIAL). If they (or you) need something, meet them somewhere outside of the home/building. If you are unsure, don't go there!

Do not allow any person of the opposite sex to come to your house/room alone (unless in an OFFICIAL capacity...VERY OFFICIAL). If they (or you) need something, meet them somewhere outside of the home/building. If you are unsure, don't go there!

Do not make or respond to ANY sexual or flirtatious comments.

Don't ever put yourself in a situation where you can be tempted.

Don't give ANYONE ANY REASON to think you are interested in them.

Scriptures to keep you:

1 Peter 5:9 (AMP) - Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset - rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.

2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV) - While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.

Proverbs 7:24-27 (KJV) - Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth. Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong [men] have been slain by her. Her house [is] the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

2 Peter 2:9 (NIV) - If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.

Proverbs 4:25 (KJV) - Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Proverbs 6:24-25 (KJV) - To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman. Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

James 1:12 (NIV) - Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

James 4:7-8 (NIV) - Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

James 1:13-15 (AMP) - Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one. But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions). Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.

Proverbs 5:8 (AMP) - Let your way in life be far from her, and come not near the door of her house [avoid the very scenes of temptation].
