There are songs and messages (outlets) that touch our hearts and comfort us in days of trials and tribulation. When the shadows seem darkest in our lives, these outlets cast a bright light of hope. For the speaker and musician, when does this end?! There are many people that have earned a living (millions of dollars) creating songs and messages that speak to the very soul of man, but does not feed their spirit. Album after album and message after message, we receive much of the same. Sure, the 'formula' is working for the masses, but shouldn't there be a greater responsibility for those speaking on God's behalf?! These outlets support a lifestyle where Christians only feed on milk, never allowing them to grow beyond the constant cycle of sin-grief/guilt/shame-redemption-sin-grief/guilt/shame-redemption...They run on the hamster wheel of the flesh with little or no instruction on how to get off. When O Minister, will you feed their spirit and help them to grow?! Popularity doesn't equal success in God's eyes. If you do not repent of your sinful ways, you will usher the Lord's judgment. God's people are not to be used for anyone's personal gain! He will have His vengeance on those who take advantage of His people. Stop playing with people's emotions! |
