2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Bible study is important to the body of believers. Within biblical studies, we place ourselves in an environment to learn, understand, and apply God's Word. Like Paul instructed Timothy through his second letter, we too must study to show ourselves as approved workmen before the Lord.

How can we learn about God and how to live as His children if we do not study (or even read) His Word to discover what it says?

Just as a student will study a subject to apply their knowledge toward a specific career, we study to apply what we learn in our everyday situations. Bible studies provide a great opportunity for us to increase our knowledge and equip us to apply what we learn.
