Every now and again, we'd like to share tidbits from the marriage toolbox. We'd like to use the title 'After the Show' to represent what occurs after we leave the spotlight of the public eye and return to the backdrop of our homes and private lives.

Within your marriage, it is important that you know yourself. When you know yourself, you are empowered with the ability to watch for potholes of temptation and sin. Take a few moments this week to inventory the things that make you mad, happy/joyous, sad, and bring situations of temptation...like GI Joe always said, 'knowing is half the battle!'

When you have the 'blueprints' of your life in hand, there's still more to do. You must build a life that will stay clear of the dangers of sin. You have to walk it out and make the right choices! Sometimes that choice may come at a moment's notice...so be prepared (1 Peter 5:8-9)!

Make the choice to stop walking over landmines of destruction...know yourself!
