For many people, Christmas has many different meanings. For some, Christmas is about receiving their most treasured gifts; for others, it is an opportunity to visit friends and family members. Then there are other that consider Jesus as the 'reason for the season.' Yet on the outskirts of the joys of Christmas, there are many people that have no gifts to look forward to; family members that don’t want to see them (or they have none around); and they may not know what this season may be about. They are downtrodden, without hope, and alone.

In our 'A Touch of CHRISTmas Cheer,' we want to encourage you, your family, church, and community to give to those that are without the help, support, and comfort they most desparately desire. Sometimes we don't think we can be of any help because we feel our resources are too small to make a difference. However, no matter what the talent or resource, each gift is important and will be greatly appreciated. Just think if each one of us could take a few moments of our time; a fraction of our finances (as the Lord leads); and our gifts and talents, we can make this season very bright for someone…bringing glory to our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16).

With the 'Touch of CHRISTmas Cheer,' there is no requirement (from us) on what you should give or what you should do. The only encouragement we have for you is to reach out to those within your family, church, and community that are in need. Some people you know personally and others you meet in passing...however, their need is very real and important to them. Please pray about some ways the Lord may be able to use you this holiday season to bring a special 'touch' for someone precious in His sight.
