Within this section, we highlight the life and circumstances surrounding God's Son, Jesus and His worldwide importance. This section will expound on the biblical verse, John 3:16 (KJV): For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The Condition of the Human Race PDF Print E-mail

1. God creatred the heavens and earth (Genesis 1-2).  The earth was created for man as a place where he could dwell and have dominion over all that dwelled therein (Genesis 1:26-29).  Man was created by God for His glory (Isaiah 43:1-7).  Man was created in the image of God, yet was without sin - even the knowledge or understanding of good, evil, or sin (Genesis 2:25).  Man (man and woman) was created to live in peace and fellowship with God forever.

2.  God gave man (Adam) one command: not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  He said that man ate of this fruit, he would surely die (Genesis 2:17, 3:3).

3.  One of the creatures God made, the serpent, came to Eve to tempt her to eat of this fruit.  When she became convinced that she needed to eat of this fruit (to become wise like God), she ate and gave some to Adam (Genesis 3:1-11).

4. Adam sinned against God’s command. Because of his disobedience to God, he would surely die. See, man was originally meant to dwell eternally among the Lord as there also was a tree of live in the garden where He placed Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:22-23). Now, mankind and the entire earth suffered as the eternal fellowship upon this earth were severed between God and man (Genesis 3:12-24).

5.  SIN HAS ENTERED THE WORLD THROUGH MAN.  Man could no longer dwell eternally with God or live forever because of sin (Romans 5:12). The curse and sin of man has reigned upon this earth (and in our hearts) since this ONE act of disobedience (Romans 5:17-19). The trials, tribulations, pains, struggles of sin you experience today are a result of Adam’s decision to disobey God. The judgment of sin and death is upon us (Romans 5:18).  Pain, destruction, sadness, disease, war, etc. filled our world and lives. The trials, tribulations, and pains you experience today are a result of one man's decision to disobey God (Romans 5:18-19). The judgment of sin and death is upon us - to be eternally separated from God.

6.  Though eternally separated from the man and woman He created, God loved them so much that He wanted to restore the position of man back to what it was in the Garden of Eden for all eternity (Ezekiel 33:11; John 3:16; 2 Peter 3:9)...and destroy the works of the serpent, the devil (1 John 3:8). After God confronted Adam for his disobedience and brought judgments upon the woman, serpent, man, and earth, He foretold a 'seed' of woman (a child) that would come forth that would later crush the head of the serpent, while the serpent would bit the heel of the child (Genesis 3:14-15).

7.  In creating man, God placed eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11).  We have an understanding of living for eternity, but most people have an assumption they will live forever and spend their time focusing on living a 'good' life: money, houses, cars, people, and and being a good person because they are not stealing, robbing banks, or murdering and raping people (committing the BIG crimes), they are good. They look into the 'yard' of others, comparing their deeds against the other 'bad' people. But the standard of what your neighbor or anyone else does is FAR too low when compared to God's standards. Being a good person does not get you into Heaven and eternal life...it comes through Jesus (Isaiah 59:1-3, 64:6; John 3:16, 6:47; Romans 6:23, 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 John 5:10-21).

There is only ONE way...the Hope for all!
