This section will expound on the biblical verse, John 3:16 (KJV): For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1. Jesus is the answer to man's disobedience. He is the fulfillment of God's promise in Genesis 3 that would restore the eternal relationship between God and man  (Isaiah 9:6Matthew 1:18-25Luke 1:26-38Acts 13:38Colossians 1:15-20Colossians 2:131 John 2:1-2).

2.  Jesus is God, manifested in the flesh, and dwelt among men. (John 1:1-141 Timothy 3:16).  The Bible declares that God loved man (His creation) so much that he sent His Son Jesus, to be born on the earth, and to give His life as a sacrifice (pure, holy, and without sin) (John 3:16-171 Timothy 2:3-4Titus 3:4-6).

3.  Because of the curse placed upon man and the earth, no man or animal could remit the original sin permanently. The sacrifices made for the sin offering were not permanent, only a shadow of the coming perfect sacrifice of Jesus (Ephesians 1:3-7; Colossians 1:19-20; Hebrews 9; Titus 2:13-14; 1 Peter 1:18-20).  Just as the animals that were sacrificed, Jesus (as a sacrifice for man's sins) would be without any blemishes of sin (Hebrews 4:15; 1 Peter 2:21-25).  Jesus gave His life to save the world and through His sacrifice; those who believe in Him are redeemed to God.  Because the sin of Adam passed through the man, when Jesus was conceived, He was not born of a man and woman, but the Holy Spirit would come upon her and power of the Most High would overshadow a young virgin named Mary (Luke 1:26-38).  This conception would allow Jesus to be born not of man and without the sin which originated from man.

4.  Jesus was unjustly sentenced to death by crucifixion; died and was buried; on the third day He rose again to be the first of many to enter into eternal life (Isaiah 53; Matthew 20:17-19; Ephesians 1:3-7; Colossians 1:15-22, Hebrews 9:27-28).  He died for you and for me…that we may live with Him and God forever.

5. Jesus is instituted as the eternal King of the Kingdom of God. This Kingdom is not only for Israelites, but for all people who would believe in Jesus, that HE is the promised Messiah that came to redeem man from their sins (2 Samuel 7:12-16; Isaiah 9:6-7; Daniel 2:44; John 18:33-37; Hebrews 1:8-9).  The Kingdom of God will overturn the kingdom of Satan, death, and sin (1 Corinthians 15:51-58; Revelation 17-19).

6. All power was given to Jesus by God. Thereby his followers are given authority through His name - acting on His behalf on earth (Matthew 28:18-20; John 14:13-14).  His followers (those who would believe in Him) would also be given laws they are to follow and another or New Covenant that would govern their behavior and the 'conditions' for receiving eternal life (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Matthew 22:34-40, 28:18-20; John 13:34-35, 16:13; Romans 8:1-17; Galatians  5:16-25, 6:2; James 2:17-26).  Children of His Kingdom (of God) must overcome the world and crucify the flesh with its passions and affections brought through the disobedience of Adam (Ephesians 5:25-32; Titus 3:3-8; 1 John 2:1-3:10, 4:7, 5:4-10; Revelation 21:7, 22:14).

7. In God's appointed time, Jesus will return to redeem His people; sentence Satan (the devil) and his followers to an eternal punishment; and establish a new Heaven and earth where all whose names are in the Book of Life may dwell (Psalm 110; John 14:2-3, 28; Acts 1:1-11; Colossians 3:4; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Hebrews 9:27-28; Revelation 20, Revelation 21:1-4).  EVERYONE will be judged by their works (Matthew 25:14-46; Romans 14:10-14; 2 Corinthians 5:9; Revelation 20:11-21:8)...and without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
