Simple Words. Simple Solutions.TM

Through the Lord's direction, Spiritual Combatants began in June 1998 as a daily e-mail ministry, Quick Quotes. The quotes used from June 1998-2006 were from Christian leaders around the world. In June 2006, the Lord directed Hamp Lee III to begin original daily quotes. Though fearful of the possibility of not being able to provide a daily quote, the Lord has shown Himself faithful everyday since 11 June 2006. Five years later, the quotes from the Lord are gathered below.

The entire collection of quotes is currently being added.

Many of these quotes are sent as Daily Quick Quote messages (via e-mail newsletter) or Twitter messages (@spiritualcombat). Please sign up for our Daily Quote ministry (see sign up on the right) or follow us on Twitter. (Typically, more messages are sent via Twitter throughout the day.)

Acceptance

God will accept you when the world won't.

TOP ^

Adversity

If you plant seeds of discord in your neighbor's yard, their roots will reach your own.

Don't allow your resolve to serve the Lord to fade in the face of adversity.

Take a stance for righteousness, especially in the face of adversity.

Adversity is one of the best teachers for building godly character.

TOP ^

Advice

Surround yourself with good counsel...and take heed to their advice.

Be mindful not to consider the words of man greater than the words of God.

Don't allow anger to be one of your advisors.

TOP ^

Anger

Anger is contagious.

Anger is a choice.

Holding onto anger will take you on a ride you may never forget...let it go.

Don't become a prisoner to the chains of anger.

Do not allow anger to control your decisions.

Unrestrained anger is a friend of sin.

Anger is a all-consuming emotion...don't allow it to take over!

Left unchecked, anger will rot away any goodness within.

Don't cause others to have a bad day just because you're having one.

When anger seems to overwhelm you, look for the way of peace...in Jesus.

Don't allow anger to consume you.

Anger can be a distraction from getting to the source of a matter.

Don't treat people unfairly because they don't do what you want them to do.

Don't get 'worked' up over something that may never happen (Philippians 4:6-8).

Anger is an all-consuming emotion...don't allow it to take over!

When anger is your compass, you can be led in the wrong direction.

TOP ^

Answers

God will answer the questions on your heart in the right time and 'season' of your life.

TOP ^

Anxious

Don't get 'worked' up over something that may never happen (see Philippians 4:6-8).

Hastiness can interfere with desired results.

When you are excited about doing something, make sure it's not a case of overhastiness (Proverbs 19:2).

Hastiness will often cause you to miss the vital details that keep you away from trouble and sin.

TOP ^

Appreciation

How can you show your appreciation to others?

Show appreciation for small gestures of love, service, and support.

TOP ^

Approval

Seek the approval of the Lord and not man...or the world.

Live your life to please your Heavenly Father...not your friends and family.

Remember, keeping silent is often shown as an act of approval.

TOP ^

Arguments

Seek peaceful resolutions...quickly.

TOP ^

Assumption

Assumption leads to trouble.

Assumptions can misguide your decisions.

You can miss the mark of God's will when you assume to know His will.

TOP ^

Believe

If only you will believe...

Don't stop believing.

Believers should live like they believe.

NOTHING is impossible for God...believe.

TOP ^

Bible

Read the Bible for transformation, not information.

Don't believe the myth (lie) that Bible study is only for pastors, elders, and ministers. It IS the responsibility of ALL believers.

What is the greatest commandment?

Gain an understanding of the entire Bible and not a collection of scriptures scattered throughout.

Lord, teach us to love reading Your precious Word.

There is no confusion in God's Word.

We don't follow the bible because we don't know the bible. We don't know the bible because we won't read it.

Allow the scriptures to influence your life toward righteousness in the sight of God.

Plant deep roots in God's Word.

Let us remain at the feet of the Gospel message rather than build our own monuments on top of it.

Fall in love with God's Word.

When life seems hazy, read through Psalms for clarity.

Understanding the Bible is not just a responsibility of ministers, elders, and pastors - it's for all believers in Jesus Christ!

Stick to the Word of God and not opinion or tradition.

Don't make the Bible say something it doesn't mean.

Be led by the Word and not society.

Believe the Word of God above man-made doctrines.

Allow the Word to cleanse your life.

Take the Bible seriously.

You cannot fall when you stand on the Word of God.

If the Word of God is our source for living (in this life and in eternity), why aren't many Christians reading it?

If you don't understand the Bible says, how will you know if someone is preaching truthfully?

Don't use the Word of God or other tactics to manipulate people for your own gain.

Read the Word. It does a body good.

Allow God's Word to cleanse your life.

Be led by the Ord and not society.

Treasure the full Word of the Bible (Old and New Testament).

Promote Bible reading...for God's Word is living and active.

Bible study should be a chance to learn/understand the scriptures. Sadly, too few people take advantage of it so they explain what they say.

Make time everyday to read God's Word and be flexible. Waiting in long lines, audio in traffic, eating lunch...possibilities abound all around you.

TOP ^

Bitterness

Remove the root of bitterness and offense before they spread.

TOP ^

Blessings

Blessings and miracles may not come in the manner you expect.

Be grateful for the smallest gifts.

Thank God for what you have. Trust God for what you need.

Be a blessing to others - especially when they don't 'deserve' it.

See a need...meet the need.

Opportunities to be a blessing are not always scheduled.

Right now...spend a moment thinking of someone other than yourself AND a way you can be a blessing to them.

Don't overlook the blessings in your midst because it (they) didn't come the way you wanted.

Give with the expectancy to be a blessing not to receiv something in return.

Don't pass up an opportunity to be a blessing.

Sometimes the people you depend on the most need a break too. Pray for them and ask the Lord how you can be a blessing to them.

Don't withhold a blessing when it is in your ability to give.

You were created to be a blessing to others.

Look for opportunities to be a blessing to someone.

Your greatest blessing may come in the most unexpected package.

As God sends rain on the righteous and unrighteous, how can you do the same (Matthew 5:43-48)?

Blessings come in unexpected package.

Opportunities to be a blessing come unexpectedly.

TOP ^

Business

How are you handling the Father's business today?

TOP ^

Calling

As the world considers the results of an election, ensure your calling and election in Christ is secure (read 2 Peter 1:3-11).

TOP ^

Change

'Change' may not seem easy, but it's worth it...

Mountains of change can be overcome with a spoon.

Make an inward decision for an outward change.

The difficult part of change for many is that it comes with no guarantees, but when you think about it, it's better than where you are now.

Give people the opportunity to change...instead of reminding them of their former self.

You don't have to be 'set in your ways.

A fear of change will chain you from progression.

Let change begin with you...

The change you want to see in others must first be witnessed in you.

Change begins with a 'yes.'

Improvement is not a one-time event.

Don't wait for the right 'moment' to change. Now is a good time.

If you want to change the course of your life, it begins in the mind...and follows through with action.

You don't have to wait until the New Year to have a new resolution...

No one is going to force you to change - you have to want it.

The change you truly need in your life does not come on your own terms.

Overturn yesterday's mistakes.

Prayer is a key ingredient to change.

The winds of change often begin with a gentle push.

Today is a good day for change.

The path to change is in God's Word.

When will you allow 'change' to work in your life?

Just because you think about living a different life, it doesn't mean that a different life will just appear. You have to do something about it (Romans 12:1-2; James 1:22-25).

Trying to force someone to change will not produce your desired results.

Change is a choice away.

Many people say they want change, but sadly, few will pursue it.

Hold fast to the course of change...in spite of the winds of fear, despair, and the unknown. Keep your compass set on the Lord's course.

TOP ^

Children

The joyful spirit of children warms the heart.

The life you display before the world is often reflected in your children. What does your mirror reveal?

Do you teach your kids to live like the world and go to church on Sundays or to live for the Lord everyday?

Children do not need to mimic us, we need to mimic them (Matthew 18:1-4).

TOP ^

Christian Living

Your life before God is your responsibility to live. Each of us will have to given an account for our own actions.

Why continue living a lie to satisfy your ego and other people? Stop deceiving yourself, repent, and turn to the Truth...

What good is it for someone to quote scriptures they never intend to live out?

Make the most of your resources.

Live your life as if this is your last minute.

Live to please the Lord, not yourself or anyone else...keep your focus on the hope laid up for you in heaven.

Being a believer of Christ is about making disciples of all nations, not making a comfortable place for yourself in church.

Your life before God is your responsibility to live. Each of us will have to give an account for our own actions.

Seek God's way of living.

Live your life in truth and integrity.

A life of Christian cultivation will require cutting and pruning.

Living for God should not be an inconvenience...but a willing display of love.

Allow your heart not to be hardened by hatred and unforgiveness...for if you do and say you love God, and do not love your neighbor, you are a liar and a murderer (1 John 3:15, 4:20). Murderers and liars do not have any inheritance in eternal life (1 John 3:15, Revelation 21:8, 22:15). Consider the condition of your life today. Do you want to allow hatred to consume you to the point that you're willing to spend an eternity in the lake of fire (...this is where hell is going)? It's not worth it...the price is too high for your life and mine.

Being a Christian is not like a light switch.

Faith...prayer...focus...personal discipline...perseverance...commitment. Tools for a faithful life.

Christians are representatives of God...how is your presentation?

Give people a reason to desire Christ.

Everything you need to truly live is found in God...so why withhold your questions, concerns, and life from Him?!

Be sensitive to the 'outcasts' of society.

Stand for God or fall for anything.

May your pursuit of God lead others deeper and closer to His heart.

A life in Christ is not centered around you.

Compare your life to God's standard instead of other people and social standards.

Purchasing a bible: $69. Giving tithe and offerings: at least 10%. Living in the pursuit and presence of the Lord: priceless.

Living for God is not a complicated process.

Your actions will say more about your beliefs than your words.

Do not walk after the desires of the flesh, but after the desires of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:16-26).

Work to become the person God created you to be...not what He created someone else to be.

Run your Christian race with passion, integrity, and persistence.

You are Jesus' representative in your home, at work, and within your community.

Balance, prayer, discipline, and obedience are key ingredients for your journey in Christ.

Think about this...whatever you eat, drink, speak or you should be done for God's glory. How many times in a day do we consider this? (see 1 Corinthians 10:31)

Don't allow negative people to pull you to their 'level.'

Selfish behavior is incompatible with serving God.

Keep your eyes on the Lord.

Your life before God is your responsibility to live. Each of us will have to given an account for our own actions.

Character cannot be built overnight, but can be diminished in an instant.

What are you holding back from God?

You never know who's watching you - your life as a Christian.

Allow your standard for living to come from Jesus Christ.

Don't dim your light in the midst of a dark world.

Live your life in such a manner that causes others to praise God (Matthew 5:14-16).

Choose ot serve the Lord with your whole heart and life.

Living for God should not be an inconvenience, but a willing display of love.

Compare your life to God's standard instead of other people and social standard.

Don't live by the flesh...live by the Spirit.

Appreciate the 'little' things in life.

Don't allow small issues to become big distractions.

Be teachable.

Strive to live a life free of what you 'coulda, shoulda, and woulda' done.

Set high standards for yourself.

Take heed to life's warning signs.

God is not going to force you to live 'right.' You have to want it for yourself.

Many people struggle in their walk with the Lord because they are unwilling to commit to Him fully.

Life is too short to be wasting it...live for God.

Yield to the will of God.

The quantity and quality of your possessions is not an indicator of your character.

Allow the Lord to validate your life and ministry before Him.

TOP ^

Church

Too many people go to church with absolutely no intention of doing anything they hear or see. Don't be one of them...

A church should care for its members (spiritually, physically, and emotionally).

A church should not be an exclusive club for believers.

Allow people to be free to worship the Lord.

Remain committed to making disciples, not statistics.

If the church is supposed to be a place for people to be healed, delivered, and set free, why are we turning them away (and talking about them) when they don't act or look 'saved' as soon as they walk through the door?

Outreach is not a ministry but a lifestyle.

Allow your church to be a place of refuge.

There's a difference between being in church and being the church.

It takes one body to build the church (1 Corinthians 12:12-31).

Sadly, there are a lot of sharp-dressed, smooth-talking deceivers within our churches. Don't become wrapped up in their 'talk,' check their fruit and watch their 'walk.'

Being a believer of Christ is about making disciples of all nations not making a comfortable place for yourself in church.

Do you know where the one sheep went from your flock (Matthew 18:10-14)? You already know where the other 99 are (or should be).

Be a good helper to your church and not a good hindrance to it.

Who's looking for the one sheep that strays from the faith within your church and community (Matthew 18:12-14)? What have you been doing?

Do not make people feel guilty if they do not serve within a ministry or church.

The family of God is not based on someone's color, race, culture, social status, or denomination.

Going to church is more than getting something for yourself. It involves equipping you to share Jesus with others (in word and deed).

There's more to being a Christian than going to church two or three times a week...a lot more.

There are many that only care about the 99 sheep and not the one that goes astray.

There is no need to play 'church.'

Going to church is more than just getting something for yourself, it involves equipping you to share Jesus with others.

Being a Christian isn't about finding a comfy church, but knowing Jesus and making Him known.

When you look across the many denominations and churches around the world, have you ever wondered if this was the vision Jesus intended?

It's time to return the church back to Jesus Christ.

There will be many that will place their faith in Jesus. Therefore, remain committed to making disciples and not statistics and larger churches.

Unity within the body of Christ is achievable...or did we forget that all things are possible through God?!

TOP ^

Commitment

This is the day to take your stand.

Be a person of commitment.

Be careful in choosing commitments for not every 'opportunity' is guaranteed to benefit you.

Don't allow the slightest distraction steer you from the path of the Lord's will.

Keep your focus on the prize which is found in Christ Jesus.

Don't sell out...remain committed to God.

Your commitment to God's word must be greater than your commitment to people.

Commit yourself to the truth of scriptures and not the traditions of men.

Follow through on your promises and commitments.

Commit yourself to the paths of love and peace.

How can you be totally committed to the Lord?

TOP ^

Communication

Words come with no refunds or exchanges, so choose them carefully.

There is no need to talk at people - talk to them.

Don't be a conduit for gossip.

You don't have to win every conversation of disagreement.

Complaining does not produce a desirable solution.

Closed lips go a long way.

'Please' and 'thank you' are pathways of peace.

Good communication delivers information that is shared, understood, and common.

Gossip seeks to strip people of their dignity.

Good communication is a pillar of relationships.

Don't be afraid or ashamed to speak God's truth.

Keep your word.

You don't have to belittle people to get your point across.

There are times when silence is the best answer.

Let your speech be worthy of being kept in the memory of others.

TOP ^

Community

Be aware of your surrounding.

Strive to improve your community.

TOP ^

Compassion

When dealing with people, don't forget about the grace the Lord has shown you.

With compassion, a ministry blossoms and showers love filled with restoration and grace.

For many, the homeless are invisible people, but are they invisible to you as well?

TOP ^

Complaining

Complaining doesn't solve your problems.

Do not nag people about their past misdeeds.

Complaining is a friend of separation, disharmony, and anger.

Protest pity parties.

TOP ^

Compromise

Do not compromise your Christian 'walk' for anyone or anything. Remain faithful to the Lord.

TOP ^

Contentment

Is God enough for you or do you only want what He can give you?

The desire for more of God cannot be held by strings of personal needs, where you'll cut those strings if He doesn't act the way you want.

Contentment is not based on the abundance of things.

Find contentment in living righteously before the Lord.

TOP ^

Conviction

Don't confuse conviction with condemnation, allowing depression (etc.) to keep you from moving closer to the Lord.

Welcome the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

Take heed to the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

TOP ^

Correction-Discipline

Remain open to the correction of the Holy Spirit.

You correct someone out of love and not hate or malice.

Words of correction sting, but we cannot forget they are meant to heal us and make us whole.

Don't run from correction. Its intent is not to focus on the negative, but to help bring positive results.

Never be too 'big' to accept correction from an unusual source. God uses simple things to turn us toward Him.

Don't allow a mistake to steer you from the path of correction.

There are many people with opinions, but they should never override the Lord's commands.

If you're going to tell someone they're doing something wrong, take the time to tell them how to do it right.

Don't wait for the Lord to 'act' in order to get your attention.

Before you talk to someone about what they are doing wrong, make sure your life is together (read Matthew 7:1-5).

Though you would like to correct some people (and rightly so), doing so will only create more problems (Proverbs 9:7-9). Pray for wisdom.

TOP ^

Creativity

Allow your creativity to flourish for God's glory.

TOP ^

Curiosity

Don't allow curiosity to pull you in directions you shouldn't go.

Curiosity is not good for the soul.

TOP ^

Death

Death is when true life begins.

If you only had 140 characters to write before you died, what would you say?

TOP ^

Deception

Watch out for deception!

TOP ^

Decisions-Guidance

God will NEVER give you bad advice.

Hasty decisions can create a big mess.

When life seems to give more questions than answers, seek the Lord (and wise counsel) instead of creating an answer yourself.

Just because the 'right' decision may be hard to make, it's still the right thing to do.

The freedom of free choice is a precious gift.

One decision can change the course of your life.

Just because you can make a specific decision...it doesn't mean you should. Not every 'option' before you will glorify the Father.

God is faithful and just to direct your path when it is time and you must trust Him to do so.

Be careful when allowing personal assumptions to become your reality because assumptions are not always based on truth.

Don't live life as if you'll always receive a second (third, fourth, fifth...) chance.

Don't take on more than you can handle.

Why do we act as if we have 10,000 years to make a decision to live for the Lord wholeheartedly? Sadly, if many had their way, they would wait until 9,999.9 of those years past before making a decision.

Sometimes doing the 'right' thing seems to be the hardest and longest path to take, but what awaits you at the end of the path is well worth it.

Taking a few extra moments to pray and think through a decision can save you a lot of time, energy, money, or peace.

Guilt and peer pressure are not good advisors for making decisions.

Choose this day whom you will serve.

Don't become overly anxious with change...stay in step with the Spirit to guide you.

Hatred and revenge are not proper influences for making decisions.

Don't allow public opinion to sway your decisions...especially your life as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Keeping silent (in the wrong circumstance) is often shown as an act of approval.

The Lord's guidance is good and trustworthy. Man's guidance can change at any moment to suit any purpose to their own benefit.

Just because you can make a specific decision, it doesn't mean you should. Not every option before you will glorify the Father.

Why do we act as if we have 10,000 years to make a decision to live for the Lord wholeheartedly?

You cannot accept advice and counsel from everyone - be selective.

No matter how truthful, opinions are not always well-received.

Do what is right...regardless of other people's actions.

Frustration can cloud sound judgment.

Bring balance to your life...NO can be an 'anointed' word.

Make a conscious and continuous decision to serve the Lord.

Everybody has an opinion...but have you asked the Lord for His?

Consider your decisions against the backdrop of your life purpose in Christ.

When you have a 'bit' of advice to share with someone, make sure it's in God's timing and His method.

Do things right the first time.

In the midst of uncertainty, the Lord never changes...declare your weaknesses before the Lord and wait for His guidance.

When the time comes to take a stand, don't sit down on it.

God will answer the questions on your heart. Seek Him and be ready for His answer...it may not be the one you expect.

Don't allow your desires to override sound judgment.

Do not be quick to assume.

Frustration sets in when people are out of position.

Taking a few extra moments to think (and pray) through a decision can save you a lot of time, energy, money, and peace.

The Lord's guidance is good and trustworthy. Man's guidance can change at any moment to suit any purpose to their own benefit.

Today is a good day to change.

A decision to change is not a one-time event, but a long-lasting commitment.

Don't allow the 'failures' of today to affect your tomorrow.

Don't allow interruptions in YOUR schedule to sprout ungodly behavior.

Don't allow the fear of man to steer your decisions.

Have a 'made up' mind to serve the Lord.

Consider your decisions against the backdrop of your life purpose in Christ.

Why you do something is just as important (if not more important) than what you do.

Planning begins and ends with God.

When life seems out of control, make the choice to 'regroup' instead of watching it spiral into destruction.

When tough choices come your way, have the courage to make the right decision.

If you agree to do something, why complain about it?!

You don't have to remain bound to sin! Freedom is one choice away!

Your tongue can be an instrument of peace or war - the choice is yours.

If you choose to do something, give 100%

No one is going to force you to change - you have to want it.

Don't be afraid to start over.

Just because you are able to do something, it doesn't make it right. Would God be pleased with your decision?

Don't allow little issues to become big problems.

Different choices lead your life in different directions.

As you think differently, you will make different choices.

How would Jesus handle your situations?

A life of sin or righteousness is only a choice away.

Don't be quick to give an opinion.

Before you make a decision, pray about it.

God will answer the questions on your heart in the right time and 'season' of your life.

Loving your enemy is a choice.

Taking shortcuts in life does not guarantee success.

Don't allow anger to control your decisions.

Resolutions can become reality.

Check your motives...they will reveal if you are straying from the center of God's will.

Don't assume...ask a question.

Assumptions can misguide your decisions...and lead you away from the will of God.

TOP ^

Deliverance

Trust God (and not man) for your deliverance.

Praise God for the deliverance to come.

Praise God for your deliverance...in advance.

TOP ^

Desires

Your desire should never override the Lord's will.

Don't give up on your desire to improve your life before God.

The desire for more of God cannot be held by strings of personal needs because you may cut those strings if He does not 'act' the way you like.

Don't allow your desires to interfere with your purpose.

God's desire is to prepare you to live with Him forever. His preparation may not be pleasant (to the flesh), but believe me, it is for your own good.

Do not walk after the desires of your flesh, but after the desires of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:16-26).

TOP ^

Determination

Be determined to finish your race in Christ...in first place.

TOP ^

Discipleship

Jesus wants all...count the cost of being His disciple (Luke 14:25-33).

Discipleship is developed beyond Sunday service.

Discipleship is not a one-time event.

Disciples of Jesus are lifelong learners and doers/

You have been commissioned by the Lord to make disciples of all nations...what are you waiting for?!

There is more to living as a disciple of Christ than saying I BELIEVE and returning to the same pattern of living.

How can all people know we are Jesus' disciples if we (the church) cannot love one another (John 13:34-35)?

You have been commisssioned by the Lord to make disciples of all nations...what are you waiting for?

Discipleship is cultivated in community and close relationships.

Discipleship requires a sacrifice of your time.

Remember...give someone fish feed 'em for a day, teach 'em to fish & feed 'em for life...the same is w/those in Christ. Teach 'em to fish.

How will you ever grow as a disciple if you never (or hardly) study God's Word?

Discipleship is not an instant process. As you learn more of Jesus, you learn how to be less of yourself.

TOP ^

Discipline

Discipline is a corrective tool.

Keep your sights on the narrow road.

Set personal boundaries...protect you from you.

Discipline must be a part of the believer's life.

Discipleship is cultivated in community.

Self-discipline is the denial of things detrimental to your well-being.

Do not shun the rod of correction.

Discipline can be used to correct and protect.

A life of Christian cultivation will require cutting and prunning.

If you are too hard on people, they will break.

TOP ^

Discouragement

Don't allow fear and discouragement to take 'root' in your life.

TOP ^

Distraction

The slightest distraction can steer you from God's will.

Don't let your life be such that it distracts people from the Lord and His will.

TOP ^

Doubt

Seeds of doubt will spoil a harvest.

TOP ^

Education

Never stop learning.

Remain open to learning more about yourself.

TOP ^

Emotions

Don't allow your emotions to imprison you.

Don't allow your personal emotions or situations to negatively impact 'innocent' bystanders.

TOP ^

Encouragement

Be happy for people when they have good news and succeed - be a cheerleader!

The Lord hasn't forgotten about you...

Live the best 'today' possible.

Take time to encourage others.

Make someone smile today.

Send a word of encouragement to someone you haven't heard from in a while.

God is deeper than your bank account. Wiser than your friends. More loving than your grandma. Forgives us because of love.

You are loved by God. Think about that...God loves you. Receive His love.

Call a friend or family member to 'see' how they're doing.

There will be times when you have to encourage yourself.

You don't have to live a defeated lifestyle. There is victory and liberty in Jesus! Live for Him!

A word of encouragement will cost you nothing.

Words of life are free to give and are priceless to receive.

Allow today to be a stepping stone to great things.

Take the time to encourage others.

A word of encouragement cost nothing to give.

Plant seeds in good soil for your soul.

Encouragement propels you toward your goals while discouragement wants to stop all progress.

Crawling can get you moving, but you can go a lot farther when you start walking.

Why wait for someone to motivate you to live for God...just go for it!

Develop a positive outlook on life...it's contagious.

Seek accountability to help and encourage you to remain on the path of righteousness.

How can you be a source of encouragement and inspiration?

As you live, work, and play, do not forget to encourage others along the way.

TOP ^

Enemies

How a person treats their enemies is an indication of their commitment to Jesus Christ.

Be on your guard...sometimes your worse enemy is within (James 1:12-15).

Just because the world doesn't understand the concept of loving your enemies, why should that keep YOU from loving them?

Pray for your enemies! Pray for your enemies!

Love your friends and love your enemies even more.

Bridges you burn today, may need to be crossed tomorrow.

TOP ^

Eternity

God's desire is to prepare you to live with Him forever. His preparation may not be pleasant (to the flesh), but believe me, it's for your own good.

Set your heart on the life to come and not the things of the world.

Many Christians live as if there is no eternal life.

Sets your sights on your heavenly home.

Set your focus on the eternal hope of Christ.

Keep your focus on the prize of eternal life.

TOP ^

Evangelism

When you have a chance to share God's Word, you must understand that it's not just another talk. God wants to speak through you to others.

There are people around you that need to know Jesus. What can you do about it?

Do not be afraid or ashamed to speak God's truth.

Do not be ashamed to preach the Gospel.

Be courageous in sharing the gospel message.

GTBT - Go. Tell. Baptize. Teach. ...Matthew 28:18-20.

Speak boldly for Christ (and don't be afraid)...even in inviting someone to church.

The Lord is looking for a few willing witnesses...interested?!

Evangelism should be more than an Outreach Ministry.

Do you care to know that there are people around you right now that do not know Jesus and are destined for the lake of fire?

The Gospel is meant to be shared with everyone...not just people you think are 'deserving.'

Don't be afraid to let people know about Jesus.

Do not force your personal views upon others. Speak the truth and move on...

Don't allow internal or external influences to silence your testimony to the world.

One of the ways you can share your faith with others is by telling them your life story and testimony.

Do you care to know there are people around you right now that do not know Jesus and are destined for the lake of fire?

TOP ^

Example

When you lead others, it cannot merely be of words, but actions from one that has first traveled the 'road' themselves.

Learn from the mistakes and trial and error of others...it'll be much easier on you.

TOP ^

Excellence

Don't lower your standard...be excellent, show integrity, and glorify God.

Strive for excellence.

Excellence is not a onetime event.

Be a person of excellence and integrity.

Instead of trying to do a bunch of things half-done, do a few things well done.

Work hard...even when others around you do not.

Excellence does not take shortcuts.

TOP ^

Failure

Don't allow the failures of today to affect your tomorrow.

TOP ^

Faith

Strive to be faithful...not famous.

Sorrow looks back, worry looks around, but faith looks up.

Consider how faithful the Lord has been in your life (Lamentations 3:22-23).

Faith requires belief, trust, and obedience.

Speak words of faith and not doubt.

Where is your faith?!

A decision made in faith is not determined by what is seen.

Stay faithful to the Lord.

A life of faith is worth living.

The lives of the faithful are not awaiting any rewards on this earth, but in eternity.

Need faith? Read your bible (Romans 10:17).

Walking in faith before God does not require a 'Plan B.'

Faith moves toward God in spite of the scars of the world.

Faith and doubt is like oil and water...they don't mix.

Nothing is impossible for God...and without faith, it's IMPOSSIBLE to please Him...

A seed planted in faith today will grow for God's glory 'tomorrow.'

Provide 'crumbs' of faith to lead people to the Father.

Walking in faith before the Lord doesn't require a 'Plan B.'

Don't allow unexpected events to rattle your faith.

The lives of the faithful are not awaiting rewards on this earth, but in eternity.

Live out your faith and be the person God wants you to be.

Don't fight those that stand on the shores of faith along side you (see Mark 9:38-41).

Make a habit of enjoying meals with your family and friends.

A key element to faith is trust.

Faith is believing before seeing.

Apply a little faith to your circumstances.

Follow the breadcrumbs of faith into the will of the Lord. The breadcrumbs may not be situated in the best location or circumstances, but they lead to the heart of the Father's will.

Be faithful in planting and watering seeds of faith.

Don't allow your feelings to dismantle your faith.

Triumphs in faith come through suffering.

TOP ^

Faithfulness

Don't allow a title or position to determine your faithfulness to the Lord.

A faithful witness of Jesus lives for Him when no one is watching.

God is faithful and trustworthy...in the best and worst of times.

TOP ^

Family-Marriage

Create a home where love and peace can dwell.

Far too many in ministry fight to save the world while losing their family (due to the lack of love). Don't become worse than an unbeliever, love them completely.

A community is built on the strength (and weakness) of its families.

Make a point to spend quality time with family and friends.

Quality time with your family is always a good investment.

Enjoy the time you have with your family and friends.

Allow the spirit of family unity and love to rest within your home.

In the midst of a busy day, don't forget those closest to you.

You can't choose your family members, but you can choose to love them.

Spend memorable moments with your friends and family.

A home provides a sanctuary away from the turmoil of the outside world.

Allow your home to be a sanctuary of peace and joy.

Sometimes the last people we love are the ones closest to us because we figure they'll always be there. They need your love too...

Create a home where peace and love can dwell.

Don't forget that your family members need Jesus too...

Sometimes your family and friends need you to listen and not speak.

What legacy will you leave your family?

A marriage will not fix itself.

Have you tended to the needs of your family (1 Timothy 5:8)?

Spend memorable moments with friends and family.

The sole responsibility of raising children does not belong to the church.

Commit yourself (and your time) to your family.

Family time should never be considered a waste of time.

One of the most precious gifts you can give is your time.

Pockets of quality time provide the greatest memories in one's life.

As a family member (i.e. husband, wife, father, mother, etc.)...is it possible to be in the home, yet not 'in the home?'

Look for ways to invest in your family.

A happy home is framed with love, patience, and the Word of God.

The sole responsiblity of raising your children does not belong to the church.

Appreciate your friends and family.

A marriage will not fix itself.

Spend quality time with your friends and family.

Much of who we are today is a direct reflection of what occurred within our family life (growing up).

TOP ^

Fasting

A purpose of fasting produces a repentant heart.

Fasting is not about food as much as it's about what you will do to seek the presence and favor of God.

Fasting involves interceding for others above one's own physical desires.

TOP ^

Fear

Don't be afraid to speak the truth, for the fear of man is a snare.

The fear of the Lord will keep you off the path of sin.

Don't allow the fear of man to steer your decisions.

Fear the Lord.

TOP ^

Fellowship

There is a beauty in fellowship that moves beyond race, money, and social status.

Your name and influence goes a long way. If you accept ideas, people, and things that are bad or false, so will those that follow you.

Sweet reunions revive the soul.

Set yourself around people that will challenge you to love deeper; share Christ more; and to live beyond the status quo.

Fellowship with people that aspire to live for God.

There should be no competition among Christians for we are all out for the same goal.

Fellowship with people that inspire you to live righteously.

Fellowship with people that will sharpen you...not make you duller.

Open yourself to those that desire to shower you with love and support.

Take time for fellowship.

Surround yourself with a support system of encouragement, inspiration, and discipleship.

There are some situations where kind words and deeds do not comfort...your presence may be enough. Keep praying.

Be a good team player - at home, work, church, etc.

Strive to unify your brothers and sisters in love and reconcile your differences.

Be mindful of the company you keep.

Fellowship is not limited to people that look, act, dress, and talk like you.

Surround yourself with people that will sharpen you (Proverbs 27:17).

A community that rarely fellowships (i.e. weekly/monthly) may not display the love necessary to grow in unity...and ultimately becomes a gathering of people.

Fellowship with people that will sharpen you, not make you duller.

TOP ^

Flesh

The flesh is not interested in living righteously before God.

TOP ^

Follow

Jesus doesn't force anyone to follow Him...neither should you.

TOP ^

Forgiveness

When someone desires to apologize, they should not have to 'run through a forest or swim across a river.'

You are worthy of forgiveness.

Don't allow unforgiveness to affect your relationship with God.

There are consequences for choosing not to forgive people (>Matthew 6:14-15).

Be fair and forgiving.

Forgiveness is medicine for the soul.

There is forgiveness in Jesus.

Forgiveness is a choice of love.

There is freedom in forgiveness.

Just as God forgives us, we must forgive others.

Choose to forgive today and be forgiven later (Matthew 6:14-15).

God gives second chances...shouldn't you?!

You cannot forgive without love.

Don't allow the pain of disappointment, betrayal, or offense keep you from loving others.

Have the courage to admit when you are wrong.

Forgive.

TOP ^

Freedom

True freedom comes from God.

Freedom is free for some and for others it is a sacrifice.

When you surrender your will, you will find greater freedom in Christ.

As a Christian, you don't have to pretend you're free...He died so that you can be.

Celebrate the freedom Christ died to give you.

TOP ^

Friendship

Be the friend you want others to be to you.

Peer pressure has no age limit.

You know what you want in a good friend, so be that for yours.

Treat people the way you would like to treated. As you go through your day, ask yourself if you would like to receive the same 'treatment' you're giving out.

Not all relationships are good for you...don't allow your desire for friendship to conflict with your need for holiness.

Do not despise the true and painful wounds of a friend (Proverbs 27:6).

True friends will not ask you to live outside of God's will.

Follow Christ, not the crowd.

If you plant seeds of discord in your neighbors' yard, their roots will reach your own.

Be cautious of the company you keep.

Don't allow personal rifts to separate you from those you love.

Choose your associates and friends wisely, for that is how others will determine the type of person you are or can be.

As a friend, would you tell someone what they need to hear or want to hear?

Build relationships upon love and not rules and regulations.

Companions come and go, but a true friend will be with you through it all (Proverbs 18:24).

Cords of friendship are tied in love through a shared purpose and genuine concern for one another.

Friends help you see where you're not looking, assist you when you fall, lend their shoulder to cry on, and will give you an honest answer.

TOP ^

Gifts

People cannot disqualify a God-given gift or talent.

Share your knowledge and talents/gifts with others...for free.

Don't allow the gift(s) God gives you to be unused.

Give your talents and gifts for the Lord's service.

Have you asked God what He wants for Christmas?

Let your gifts speak for God's glory.

When the Lord reveals the gifts He has given you, give your life to cultivating them for His glory and use.

The gifts of God are given to be shared.

Your gift (and any 'notoriety' its brings) can never be a substitute for holiness before God.

Your gifts and talents are meant to reveal Jesus to the world.

The greatest gifts cannot be bought in a store.

Use your talents to express God's love.

How are you investing your talents (Matthew 25:14-30)?

Many people have the potential to do great things, but what they do with that potential is what makes a difference.

Talents and gifts are meant to be shared.

Use your resources (i.e. time, talents, money) to allow God to be known and glorified.

Giving is cool.

TOP ^

Giving

Your giving may be the answer someone prayed for.

Help someone for what you can give, not what you can get.

Helping others goes beyond monetary support.

Don't look down on the less fortunate...help them to stand.

It IS better to give than receive...

True giving doesn't come with strings.

Giving opens the world to a loving Savior.

Giving is not a deadly disease.

Giving to others should not be based upon hearing a thank you, good job, or some form of appreciation. Give because it is the right thing to do.

What can you give someone without spending any money?

Instead of complaining about what someone should have given you, be grateful for what you have.

Giving is not about what you can get back.

Use your time and talents to be a blessing to someone.

Live your life to give 'life.'

Give with the expectancy to be a blessing not to receive something in return.

Give someone an irreplaceable gift - your time (i.e. a listening ear, watching a movie, sharing a meal).

Give others the best you have and not leftovers and junk.

Giving is an outward display of inward love.

True giving does not come with strings.

The truest value of giving is not the amount, but the reason (motive) behind it.

Give without expecting anything in return.

Give the best of your day to serving others.

A heart to give begins with love to share.

Look for opportunities to plant 'seeds' of love, joy, and peace.

Appreciate the little things people give to you.

TOP ^

Glorifying God

How can your driving glorify God?

Everyday can be a Father's Day toward the Lord.

Do not take the credit for something God did...give it to Him.

Don't steal the credit that belongs to God for yourself (to look good, smart, and popular in front of your peers). God doesn't share His glory with anyone. Believe me, it won't turn out well for you.

Think about this...whatever you speak and whatever you do should be done for God's glory. How many times in a day do we consider this? ~ 1 Corinthians 10:31

Take the limits off your life to allow God to move in and through you.

Are you interested in promoting God's glory or your own?

The situations we're frustrated with are the ones God uses for His glory (and our edification).

Give glory to God in the midst of trials and tribulations.

Ask the Lord to direct your path for His glory.

Don't lower your standards...be excellent, show integrity, and glorify God.

Do not take the credit for something God did. Give it to Him.

Live your life to please your Heavenly Father, and not your friends and family.

Unexpected interruptions are opportunities that allow God to be glorified.

TOP ^

Goals

Don't be so focused on the destination that you miss the warning signs along the way.

Don't sabotage someone's dream or goal.

Motivation is the engine that propels us toward our goals.

Set short- and long-term goals for yourself.

Don't allow the size of a 'mountain' to distract you.

Discipline is a key ingredient to accomplishing your goal(s).

Have you forgotten your resolution(s) for the year?

Don't lose sight of the goal, the prize that is found in Christ Jesus...keep running towards it!

Consider your decisions against the backdrop of your life purpose in Christ.

The Lord's will for your life may look different than you imagined.

You can make a difference in the world. Even if it is for one person...it is a great accomplishment.

Great achievements begin with a thought.

Support the dreams and desires of others...you'd want someone to do the same for you.

TOP ^

God

God is preparing you for His glory.

God is faithful, merciful, and just.

Don't doubt God's faithfulness.

What is seen does not limit God.

We need God in our lives.

Our God is awesome...consider His 'awesomeness' today.

The Lord is marvelleous...

Don't limit God.

Nothing is too hard or impossible for God. Sometimes we just need to be reminded of it.

Our God is awesome. Consider is 'awesomeness' today!

God loves you.

The love of the Father is speaking today through His Son.

Never underestimate what God can do.

What attributes come to mind when you think about God?

God will never leave you...He loves you too much.

God can ___________.

God is faithful and just to direct your path when it is time and you must trust Him to do so.

God is amazing.

God NEVER fails.

Heed His call to come closer.

How can you honor your Heavenly Father and your earthly father?

God is enough...

TOP ^

God's Will

Even though your life may not seem perfect, it doesn't mean it's not in God's will.

God's will for your life may not be on paths already paved.

Allow God's desire for your life to be your top priority.

God can make a way where none exists.

Ministry is purposed to fulfill God's will, not to fulfill your will using God's name. Make His name known and not your own.

God's direction is for your good...and His glory, regardless of how strange 'you' believe it is at that moment.

In a world that screams for attention, seek the quiet voice of the Lord.

Pursue the 'assignment' God has given you with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Don't despise small and humble beginnings - God is preparing you.

The path of God's will is not always smoothly paved.

The path of God's will for your life is not always laid with a red carpet.

Fulfilling the Lord's will is not based upon your specific requirements.

The Lord seeks to do more than just get you out of your current trial...He's trying to save you from an eternity without Him.

The Lord is faithful to perform His Word.

Don't allow the slightest 'distraction' steer you from the path of the Lord's will.

God does not owe you an explanation for His actions or requests.

People don't have the final 'word,' the Lord does.

You cannot fit God into your understanding...if you try, you will miss His will for your life.

Concerning Jesus' words in the bible, my daughter said, "if you ain't got red, you better find some red so you can follow it."

Don't allow the world's 'conditions' to hinder you from fulfilling God's will.

You never know when or how God will 'use' you - be open, available, and ready.

The Lord knows what He's doing, in and through you.

The Lord loves you too much to allow you to remain where you are, but are you willing to follow Him where He wants to take you?

The only place you need to be is where the Lord wants you - nothing else matters.

God uses all types of people for His purposes, and just because He uses you, it doesn't mean He knows you (see Matthew 7:21-23).

The slightest distraction can steer you from God's will.

God will call anyone, to do His will, at any time.

You're never in the wrong place when you're in the center of God's will.

TOP ^

Gossip

Instead of gossiping about people, pray for them.

Turn away from the desire to argue, gossip, and plant seeds of discord.

Don't get caught in the web of gossip.

TOP ^

Grace

God's grace can sustain you.

The grace of God will teach you how to live righteously, but it will be up to you to follow through (Titus 2:11-14).

God's grace is sufficient...and available to you.

In experiencing the refreshing rains of God's grace, allow Him to reign in your life.

TOP ^

Growth

People don't grow in your time...

It is important to provide people enough 'space' to grow.

People don't 'grow' in your time.

Mistakes and failures can become opportunities for growth...if you allow them to be.

Opportunities for Christian growth surround you everyday.

Don't try to force seeds to grow before their time - that is for God to decide.

To grow in intimacy with the Lord, cut down distractions and other pollutants in your life (i.e. music/entertainment that does not glorify Him).

The Father knows exactly what you need and withholds no good thing from you...things that build and strengthen you as His child.

The seeds you plant in someone's life today, will grow to feed others tomorrow.

TOP ^

Happiness

When was the last time you had a good laugh?

Laughter does a body good.

Allow laughter to feed your soul and warm your heart.

Take a moment to enjoy the medicine of laughter (Proverbs 17:22).

Laughter is a doorway to peace.

Laughter is healing for the soul.

TOP ^

Hate

What good ever comes out of hating people?

Hatred binds the hands of peace.

Hating your enemy is not biblical (Matthew 5:43-48).

Hate may seem like an unbreakable wall, but love conquers all.

To hate someone is to pour cement on your heart.

The Lord understands what you are experiencing and will help you, grow you, and will receive glory out of it.

Hatred toward other people will lead you down paths of destruction and despair.

TOP ^

Healing

God still heals.

A merry heart is like medicine. What can you do to bring a little 'merriness' into your life today?

TOP ^

Heart

Keep your heart filled with cheer.

Do not harden your heart toward the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

Have a grateful heart.

A hardened heart shackles your life without the possibility of freedom...a freedom only found in Christ.

Take time to sort out the issues on your heart.

Do you have the 'heart' to serve the Lord today?

Allow songs of praise to fill your heart.

Choose to serve the Lord with your whole heart...and life.

Set your heart on the life to come and not the things of this world.

God will answer the questions on your heart. Seek Him and be ready for His answer, not the one you expect.

Seek God with your whole heart.

TOP ^

Help

I need you Lord.

Take time to teach and empower others.

Your help comes from the Lord. Instead of turning from Him in the midst of trouble, turn to Him and cast your cares upon Him.

Support the less fortunate.

Take the time to help someone that is struggling.

Make time for people and be flexible. A request for help may come when it is in conflict with 'your' schedule.

The smallest thing you can do makes a big difference.

God can make a path where none exists.

The sting of pain today can become a source of strength today.

If you see a need...meet it.

It's OK not to be OK, but don't stay there...turn to Christ.

Never underestimate the help you give. The smallest deed can have the biggest impact.

Don't be ashamed to ask for help.

Help others realize their potential.

Look to Jesus.

The seeds you plant in someone's life today, will grow to feed others tomorrow.

If you see danger ahead for someone's life (i.e. spiritual, physical, or otherwise)...warn them. If they choose not to heed your warning, it is on them...if you don't say anything, it's on you.

Empathize with the needs and desires of others.

Strive to improve your surroundings.

Opportunities to help others doesn't always run on a set schedule. Be open, ready, and available.

Asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but of courage and strength.

Keep your eyes on the Lord and not your problems.

Allow the Lord to be your source of help and support.

No matter how truthful, opinions are not always well received.

All of life's problems cannot be solved alone...get help.

Don't be too proud to ask for help.

Sometimes we believe the best thing for people is to allow them to find their own way and leave them in the jungle of life without a map. Maybe they just needed a gentle hand and loving heart.

Plant seeds of faith, hope, and love into the life of another.

There are times when the best help you can give someone is your presence.

Help people to exceed their potential.

You can get past the past with God's help.

There will be times when the Lord alone understands your pain.

In what ways can you help carry the burdens of others today?

No matter how hard you try, there will be some people that will not accept your help. Love them and pray for them anyhow.

As the Lord brings you out of trials, don't forget to reach back to help others.

Spend time with people and pray to the Lord on ways to help them. Your meeting is not by accident.

Be sensitive to the circumstances and situations of others.

Be hospitable.

Don't forget where your help comes from...the LORD!

Show empathy.

Build a support system.

When you have the ability, be a blessing.

If you don't know something, ask God for wisdom and wait for His answer (see James 1:5-8).

In spite of your issues of sin, disobedience, and unbelief, God loves you and longs to help you through them...go to Him.

There are some situations where kind words and deeds do not comfort...your presence may be enough.

Become a 'place' of comfort, support, and peace for someone.

God can open and close any 'door' in your life - regardless of what man says.

Give God an opportunity to help you with your problems.

You cannot make people accept your help.

TOP ^

Holiness

The Lord has not lowered His standard...

Strive for holiness.

Holiness is a continual commitment throughout each day, in every situation.

Live a consecrated life before the Lord and His people.

Push and challenge yourslef toward holiness. Pray and allow God's grace to show you the way of godliness.

TOP ^

Hope

The woman with the issue of blood never lost hope of being healed (Matthew 9:20-22; Mark 5:25-34; Luke 8:43-47).

Through Jesus Christ...there is hope.

No one is hopeless who hopes in God.

Let your hope rest securely on the return of Jesus.

Where there is love, there is hope.

With hope comes the anticipation for change.

Every day is a new beginning.

Don't lose hope...

Let your hope rest securely on the return of Jesus and the place He has prepared for you.

Hope helps us move beyond troubling days.

TOP ^

Humility

Humility breeds openness.

Humility is one of the greatest assets for a disciple of Jesus.

Be humble enough to receive God's instruction from anyone.

Meekness is a quality the world cannot understand.

Humility is one of the most greatest assets for a disciple of Jesus.

Be humble enough to say, 'I was wrong...please forgive me.'

There's nothing wrong with admitting your mistakes.

A lesson in humility can be a hard pill to swallow, but it will bring the nourishment you need to build a solid Christian character and witness among the world.

Humility comes to those that believe they know more than the Lord.

TOP ^

Injustice

Take a stand against injustice.

TOP ^

Inspiration

Inspire people through your actions.

What inspires you to live for God?

Let the world see your light.

TOP ^

Integrity

Many preachers are concerned w/outward appearances and speaking delivery. However, the greatest attribute is integrity.

How can you honor your heavenly Father?

Do what is right...even if no one else does.

Build a legacy of integrity.

A faithful witness of Jesus lives for Him when no one else is watching.

Build a lifestyle of integrity.

Don't allow your words and actions to 'tell' two different stories.

TOP ^

Intimacy

To grow in intimacy with the Lord, cut the distractions and other pollutants in your life (i.e. music/entertainment) that do not reflect His nature and character.

God will use many things in and around you to bring your life closer to His.

When we don't have intimacy with God, we lack compassion for people.

God will use many things in and around you to bring your life closer to Him.

Even before you knew God...He knew you and was working to draw you closer to Himself.

Intimacy with the Lord begins with the denial of self and its desires.

Seek to be intimate with the Father and allow the outpouring of your relationship to be shared with the world.

TOP ^

Jealousy

Jealousy spoils the 'vines' which feed the soul.

Don't become envious over the possessions of others.

TOP ^

Jesus

Jesus Christ is the most important person in the history of the world.

Remember His love and sacrifice given for your life.

Jesus is all you need.

There is something about that NAME.

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but perfection is only seen in One.

Jesus died that we may freely receive the Gospel.

Jesus died that you may be free from the wages of sin and death.

The Lord Himself is a perfect illustration of the truth of the beatitudes (Matthew 5:1-12).

The name of Jesus will draw a response of its hearers.

With so many uncertainties in life, you can trust Jesus to remain the same...today and forever.

In Jesus...there is rest (Matthew 11:28-30).

Jesus is the reason for every season. - Dominque Lee (age 9, 2006)

Jesus is the promised Messiah as outlined in scripture through the family line of David.

TOP ^

Joy

If your 'joy' is stolen...it doesn't leave without your consent.

Don't allow someone to steal your joy.

The joy of children warms the heart.

Joy and peace don't come with price tags.

Let joy and peace reign!

TOP ^

Judging

When you judge someone, your ability to love them is diminished.

Oftentimes, we're quick to judge someone for the same things we're doing (or once did).

Don't look down on others.

Passing judgment says more about you than it does the person you're judging.

God does not discriminate.

Do not judge others.

TOP ^

Knowledge

Contrary to your own belief, you don't know everything. Ask for help, advice, and pray.

TOP ^

Laziness

Fight laziness and procrastination...do it now!

Don't allow idleness to ruin your day. Get busy! Be productive!

Many people are willing to reap the benefits of hard work, yet are not willing to work hard. Don't be one of them.

TOP ^

Leadership

Leaders that are unwilling to follow others are in danger of becoming lost...and leading others the same.

Take care of your leadership.

Be diligent.

Leadership isn't about being well-liked.

Being a leader is about serving and supporting those placed in your care.

There's more to leadership than telling someone what to do.

Leadership begins with prayer.

TOP ^

Life

When you see your life getting out of control, do something about it instead of watch it spiral out.

If one word could be used to describe your life, what would it be?

Why put off what can be done today when tomorrow is not promised to you?

A life lived for Christ is a life well-spent.

You prove to the world what you believe by how you live.

Minimize distractions.

Live your life to give life.

Be a living sermon.

Life lasts but a few moments...make the most of them for the Lord.

How can you give the Lord your 'all' today?!

Life is too short to hate people and live beneath God's standards.

Placing your life on cruise control may cause an accident.

Give the best of your day to love instead of hate; sharing instead of taking; and laughing instead of yelling.

Life is not a sprint, but a journey...

Set your life on pleasing God.

Do I want to live a life without limits?

Allow everyday to be a Resurrection Day...where we tell of the Lord and show His redemption in our lives.

May your private life (outside of the public 'eye') reveal the love of God.

Your life in Christ should say you believe long before your words do.

Today is not just another day.

Life is too short to live beneath God's best for you.

Enjoy life...love God.

Fill your day with peace, joy, and laughter.

You have one life to live before God and man.

Let your light shine when darkness abounds!

God can be trusted to be faithful. Even though many people say it, they don't always believe it...and it shows in their actions.

Don't allow the battles of life to keep you on the sidelines.

Don't try to make the Bible conform to your lifestyle...conform your life to the Bible.

Let your life and service bring glory to God alone.

ß

Our security in life in found in Christ...without His security, we are lost, confused, and without hope.

Don't allow Satan to be pleased with your life.

Live your life without regrets.

Make the most of each moment as your next breath isn't guaranteed.

Life is too short for you to 'sit' on the things God has told you to do...or you know you should be doing.

We have to stop being slow to read the Bible, slow to pray, and quick to be mad because things didn't go our way.

Live your life in integrity and truth.

We live for the Lord's pleasure and purpose.

Let your life be heard for Christ.

Don't forget to take care of the little details in life. When left unnoticed, they grow into a big mess.

Allow your life to be a classroom for yourself and others.

There are many shortcuts in life that will take you nowhere.

Live by the Spirit and not the flesh.

In the name of Jesus, I am free.

Your actions are not hidden from God.

Are you prepared for the Lord's coming (Matthew 24:42-44)?

Is the direction of your life headed toward righteousness or further from it?

If you take an inventory of your life, in how many ways do you stop your own progress?

The Lord wants the best of your time and resources, not the scraps and leftovers.

Let us not forget Father that YOU will have the last word in our lives and situations.

You have one life to live...don't waste it!

Live this day to please the Lord.

If your life seems like its sinking, you must throw some things overboard.

Is there anywhere you can go to hide from the Lord (Psalm 139:7-10)?

Is your life a sweet or sour aroma for others?

You don't have to face 'life' alone.

View life through the 'eyes' of Christ.

Today can be your best day yet.

Live by the Word of God.

Instead of pointing fingers at others, make sure one should not be pointed at you.

What is most important in your life, you will give the most attention? Is it what you expected?

Be aware of yourslef (thoughts and heart) and your surroundings.

Can you say your lifestyle is 'fully persuaded' toward the Lord?!

An inspection of your life is worthless if you don't do something about your findings.

Your life will say more about your beliefs than your words.

Make the most of each moment as your next breath is not guaranteed.

What are you allowing to stop you from living the way God intends?

Why continue living a lie to satisfy your ego and other people? Stop deceiving yourself...repent and turn to the Truth!

Be mindful of the things you allow to feed your soul (i.e. TV shows, music, movies). Not all things are a benefit to your life in Christ.

Love

Love grows when the life of another is held in greater regard than your own.

True love is not selfish...

May the love you have for the Father be felt by others.

What does it mean to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind...and what if you love something else more?

Love always hopes...and hope provides opportunity.

God loves you.

Compassion brought us redemption through God giving His only Son, where will compassion lead you?

The 'standard' for loving others is the same as you love yourself.

Love people enough to tell them about Jesus.

By the basis of your actions, what has been your first love?

Love speaks louder than words.

Do you really love the Lord? Before you answer, think about how your life is presented to Him (daily) without justifying your actions.

Acts of love are contagious.

Love is with you in the best and worse of times.

Your love for others is an open door for God to be known and praised.

Loving people is at the heart of God's plan.

God's love is like a stream of refreshing waters.

There is a love that goes deeper than chocolate and flowers.

God is love.

True love can often be seen, and hardly explained, yet it provides a welcome invitation.

Loves draws us to learn the needs of others and finds a way to meet it...God did the same for us through Jesus.

Love will sacrifice itself to save another.

Love isn't concerned about the color of your skin, the money in your pockets, or your social status.

Love prays for others.

With compassion, a ministry blossoms, and showers a love filled with restoration and grace.

Loves shows us a better way.

Love thinks of the needs of others first.

Remember: Love covers a multitude of sins.

The path to love begins with forgiveness.

Love gives you its undivided attention.

In what ways can you love today? As the answer comes, step out on it without delay!

Love is hope.

Don't allow the world's standard of love to become your own.

Love gives the best it has to offer.

Love shows us a better way.

You can't make people 'do right,' but you can love them.

Love covers a multitude of sins...1 Peter 4:8.

The beauty of love goes far beyond physical appearances.

Allow love to overflow out of your life.

Love tells you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

Love is pure and joyous.

Love carries an eraser.

Love is a sacrifice of self.

'Forced' is not a word associated with love.

Love can be tough, but at its core is compassion and longsuffering.

Love doesn't give up.

Allow love to be the main ingredient in your life.

Give love a chance to work in you and through your situations.

Love cannot be purchased with money.

True love can often be seen, and hardly explained...yet it provides a welcome invitation.

Don't lose sight of your love for God.

let your life display the love of God.

Love people enough to be honest with them.

Everyone has a desire to be loved.

Let God's love be seen and not only heard.

Love others enough to speak the truth to them.

Give love a change to work in you and through your situations.

How do you define love? ~ John 15:13

Love has no boundaries.

In what way can you love your enemy?

How much has God loved you?

Love is not a bystander.

Be committed to love (loving God with all of your heart, soul, and mind and others as yourself)...as that is our greatest commandment.

A lifestyle of loving people is built through one thought...one decision...one situation at a time.

You can't make people do 'right,' but you can love them.

Unconditional love accepts people 'as is.'

Prejudice, gossip, and love are contagious. Which one will you spread?

Love uses every moment it has to make itself known.

Don't allow the pain of disappointment, betrayal, or offense to keep you from loving others.

God can use anyone to reveal His love, mercy, and grace.

Loving your enemy is a choice.

How do people know you love the Lord?

As you desire to be loved, understood, and appreciated, so does your neighbor.

Love will never be overrated.

Love does not belittle others.

Everyone has a desire to be loved.

Love is not a one-time event.

Love does not force someone to do something they do not want to do.

Lying

Lying breaks down boundaries of trust.

Why continue living a lie to satisfy your ego and other people? Stop deceiving yourself, repent, and turn to the Truth.

Lying is not an escape from the truth.

TOP ^

Maturity

Accepting responsibility for your actions is a sign of personal growth.

There comes a time when you need to put away childish things.

No more kiddy pool faith. It's time we digress from the shallow pool and desire the deep ocean of God's presence.

The Lord uses trying situations to help us mature and trust in Him more.

TOP ^

Mercy-Grace

God's grace will can sustain you.

As you desire mercy from God and others...be sure to do the same when someone desires it from you.

Don't take god's mercy and grace for granted.

God's mercy and grace is beyond our understanding.

Thank God for His mercy.

The merciful will be shown mercy (Matthew 5:7).

Be merciful.

Give yourself the opportunity to experience God's goodness.

TOP ^

Ministry

If an anointed person comes to your church and is burned out or struggling, provide shelter for them to heal and rest before the Lord. Don't ask them to work.

Have you made yourself available to others today?

Strive to be a great follower of Jesus.

Loving God is more than working for Him in ministry.

Don't allow your daily schedule to get in the way of an opportunity to minister to someone.

You must know Jesus before you can imitate Him.

Serving the Lord should never be a burden.

Jesus wants us to pray earnestly for laborers to be sent into His harvest. Think about that...praying earnestly. Then we must consider if we are willing to be one of those laborers...think about that.

Are you willing to tell God, "Send me...I'll go."

The Lord is not looking for fans and spectators...get in the game.

Why spend your time doing something someone else is called to do? Focus on what the Lord called for you to do.

Minister to people on their level...and help them rise toward Christ.

Show the same level of respect for the 'least' and the 'greatest.'

God can use anyone to reveal His love, mercy, and grace.

You must be comfortable being the one to only plant a seed and never seeing it grow by your own hands...and rejoicing when God brings the increase (see 1 Corinthians 3:5-8).

Let the Lord use you for who you are and be comfortable doing it...to His glory.

Do you want to die knowing you haven't brought the Lord a return on His investment (Matthew 25:14-30)?

How are you fulfilling Jesus' commission (Matthew 28:18-20)? Has it been an 'omission' from your life?

Jesus wants us to pray earnestly for laborers to sent into His harvest. Think about that...praying earnestly. Then we must consider if we are willing to be one of those laborers.

It's tragic when the delivery of the Gospel becomes more important than the content.

Fill your life with people that will pour into you and those you can pour into.

Don't make people feel guilty if they do not serve within a ministry.

Are you too busy for God?

What can you do (for free) to promote the Gospel?

You CAN make a difference in the world for Christ! If the Lord is calling you to do something, He will prepare and equip you to accomplish His will (Philippians 1:6).

You cannot make people live for the Lord...for if you attempt to do so, their commitment will not be sure. People must decide for themselves to love the Lord.

Don't despise small and humble beginnings - God is preparing you.

You must be comfortable being the one to plant a seed in someone and never seeing it grow by your own hands...and rejoicing when God brings the increase (1 Corinthians 3:5-8).

There's no 'ME' in ministry.

Ministry requires commitment to the Lord and the people He places before you to serve.

TOP ^

Money

How can you be a better steward of your finances?

Money does not define who you are.

Money cannot buy godly character.

Both the abundance and lack of money are funnels for corruption (see Proverbs 30:7-9).

Live within your means.

How can you be a better steward of your finances?

Money can't solve all of your problems.

Save a little money for a 'rainy' day...even if it's $1/day or $25/month. No amount is too small.

When money is your god, you will find that more of it will never bring the satisfaction, peace, joy, or redemption the Lord freely gives.

Be wise in your spending.

Don't allow the desire of money, positions, and possessions to consume you.

Money earned deceitfully and through get-rich-quick schemes don't last (Proverbs 13:11).

TOP ^

Motives

Allow your motives to be pure before the Lord and man.

The reason why we do something is just as important as the act itself (see 1 Corinthians 4:5).

TOP ^

Music

For worship leaders...sing to praise/worship the Lord and lead/teach others to do the same instead of trying to make a name for yourself.

Fill your soul with music that will draw you closer to the Lord and not the world.

Music can free or imprison your soul. Listen to the right stuff.

TOP ^

Obedience

Your obedience to God will be an outpouring of blessings to others.

To obey the commands of Jesus, you must first read them.

Do you have a 'YES' for the Lord?!

In fulfilling God's instructions, you must be free of your own personal agenda and desires.

Follow the law of Christ (see Galatian 6:1-2 and Matthew 22:34-40).

How can you please God today?

Allow your satisfaction to come from pleasing God.

Being in the right position before the Lord set you on the path toward His eternal kingdom and rest.

You will never be in the wrong place when you're in the center of God's will.

Give the Lord your full attention.

Don't delay a decision to be obedient to the Lord.

Hold to Jesus' teachings.

God wants all...not some, a little bit, or a piece of you.

Live in greater submission to the Lord.

Life is too short for you to 'sit' on the things God has told you to do, or you know you should be doing.

Many things God will ask of you will not come with an explanation...and He does not owe you one. Be obedient and walk faithfully before God.

God's standard is ALL! Being 'sold out' is the standard, not the exception!

A time may come when God asks you to do something that makes absolutely no sense to you or anyone else, but you still must obey His voice.

TOP ^

Offense

Being offended is like a prison - no one gets in and you don't get out.

Don't allow differences of opinion to create walls of separation and offense.

TOP ^

Opportunities

Make the most of your opportunites...for some don't come around again.

When the time comes to take a stand...don't sit down on it.

Thank you Father for giving me opportunities to grow in life and character.

Opportunities to be a blessing to others exist all around you.

TOP ^

Overcoming

Confront the childhood issues that disturb your adult life.

You can overcome the pain of your past.

To be an overcomer, go to the One who has overcome the world...Jesus (John 16:33; Philippians 4:13)!

The life of a believer is one of overcoming.

The 'knocks' of life can be hard, but don't let them keep you down. Place your trust in the Lord.

Don't allow negative situations to define you...rise above them.

A fresh start does not have to begin on New Year's Day...today can be the day.

You don't have to remain a slave to sin.

TOP ^

Patience

An ounce of patience will save you a ton of trouble.

Opportunities to develop patience awaits...

Be patient.

A little patience will break the sails of anger.

Patience is a great quality to have...each day will give you an opportunity to develop it.

Wait on the Lord. Wait for Him - His way and timing.

Patience enlarges your vision to see the entire field of 'play.'

Don't get in the way of patience (James 1:2-4).

Patience does a body good.

Wait on the Lord...wait for Him...His way and timing.

Wait for the promise of eternal life.

An ounce of patience will reveal a pound of truth.

Waiting on the Lord requires giving up your suggestions to speed things along.

A little patience today can save you from trouble tomorrow.

Flexibility helps you handle unplanned events.

Great is God's patience with us.

A patient life is established through trials.

Allow patience to finish its work in you (James 1:2-7).

Don't try to force seeds to grow before their time. That is for God to decide.

Be patient in learning new things.

Patience opens an understanding of other views and opinions beside your own.

Don't allow a delayed 'answer' to dimmer your commitment to it.

Be patient in moving forward, but allow your steps to be firm.

Be patient with people as the Lord has been patient with you.

A patient life is establish through trials.

Allow patience to change your perception.

Give God the opportunity to mold people into the image of His Son.

Patience can outlast a man of strength.

Patience is not overrated. It is a virtue that can lead you into the mind and will of the Lord.

Wait for the promise of eternal life.

Patiently wait for the Lord to move upon others instead of gving up on them at the first sign of trouble.

Have the courage to wait on the Lord.

A little patience brings a clearer understanding of God's will.

Patience develops inner peace.

A key ingredient of dealing with people is patience.

Patience makes the path of faith clearer.

TOP ^

Peace

Inner peace is a priceless commodity.

Look for paths of peace...not struggle and strife.

Follow the path of peace.

Allow peace to be your guide.

In Jesus, we can have peace in the midst of a hectic day.

Silence can be used as an instrument of peace.

Commit yourself to paths of love and peace.

Take a peaceful walk.

Make peace, not war.

The path toward peace isn't always peaceful.

Be a person of prayer and peace.

Contentment is not based on the abundance of things.

TOP ^

People

Every person has value...they are not trash. Even if they made mistakes, Christ died for them too.

There's always another side to a story...

Be an attentive listener.

Every person has value...they are not trash. Even if they made mistakes, Christ died for them too.

You cannot force people to get along.

Deal with people as one out of the world not of it.

Learn to work well with difficult people.

When you allow people to direct the course of your life, it can steer you far from your intended destination.

Living to please people keeps you from living to please the Father.

Be fair and honest when dealing with people.

People are not trash to be thrown out.

The fear of man will keep you from experiencing true freedom and liberty in Christ and before the world.

Don't allow the outside package of a person to distract you from their message (of faith).

Don't be quick to discard people.

When dealing with others, ask yourself if you would like to be treated in the same manner.

Hurting people hurt others.

Spend time investing in others.

There is no shame in representing God in the world. We should consider it an honor.

Taking care of people is a willing investment of time, resources, and support.

Don't give up on people...because there was someone that didn't give up on you!

Jesus died for everyone...including the person that gets on your nerves.

There's no need to prove you're not a pushover.

Don't give up on people because they don't act the way you want.

Spend time learning about the people around you.

Recognize the small efforts in others that impact our daily lives.

God made each person unique and special - no two are alike (including twins).

Investing in others is not a waste of time.

Don't allow people to keep you from serving God.

With all the people in the world, the Lord knows your name.

Lives lived to please man will fall short of pleasing the Lord.

You were created for a purpose.

Invest in yourself.

Do not look down on others.

Dealing with people requires patience and prayer.

You cannot make people serve God.

You're not the only one with problems. Be sensitive to others.

By the evidence of your words, what type of 'environment' do you create for yourself and others?

Do not force someone to go somewhere their mind isn't willing to take them.

You've come too far to give up now (Galatians 6:9)?

If you allow other people's opinion to shape you, how can you be molded in the image of the Lord?

When pleasing people is your focus, you are in danger of drifting from the Lord's will.

You've come to far to quit now...

Hold on...

Keep your guard up.

Don't give up because the path ahead seems rough.

Stand above the shadows of disappointment and despair.

Stand... Rise above the drama. Remove yourself from complaining and pointing fingers. Take responsibility for your actions. Stand...

Don't allow a painful past to keep you from living a fruitful future.

Finish strong.

Don't allow your 'weaknesses' to stop you from moving forward. Not only will God surround you with people who are strong in the areas you're 'weak,' but He can make your weak areas your strengths. Amen!

You've come too far to give up now (Galatians 6:9)!

Rise above your circumstances - be an overcomer! You can do it!

As the world celebrates evil, keep your focus on the goodness of God.

Keep moving forward.

Don't give up in the middle of the race. Stay focused on the prize.

Don't give up.

No matter how things seem, don't lose sight of the blessed promise of redemption that has given through Christ Jesus.

Go the distance...finish the race...

Don't give up. Keep your eyes toward the hills from which comes your help.

Don't allow the failures of others to be an excuse to give up.

Fight the appetites of laziness and procrastination.

Finish what you start (things that do not lead to sin).

Never give up...never give up...

Don't allow people people to steer you off course.

Perseverance is doing what needs to be done, even when you don't feel like doing it.

Start small...and allow the Lord to grow you.

Hold on...don't give up.

Press your way toward the Lord.

Improve upon yesterday's shortcomings.

Don't allow your past to affect who you are today and who God is calling you to be.

Why are you putting off things you can do right now?!

Don't give up on God...

Finish strong.

Don't give up. Keep striving. Rise up and stand. Press forward.

There are some things in life that can only be achieved through dedication, discipline, and perseverance...shortcuts will not get you there.

Don't despise the day of testing and trials. They are the training field for Christ-like character.

If you fall, be quick to dust yourself off and get back on the path.

Not all people will repent because you talk with them for a few minutes. Be prayerful, persistent, and patient.

Potential

Many people have potential to do great things, but what they do with their potential is what makes a difference.

TOP ^

Praise

There is much to be thankful for.

Allow songs of praise to heal your soul.

Praise God for what you have instead of worrying about what you don't.

Keep praising God.

In all things, give thanks.

Praise God what you have instead of worrying about what you don't.

Praise God for what you have instead of complaining about what you don't.

How can you celebrate Jesus?

Don't EVER forget to give God the glory (and credit) He deserves.

True praise is developed out of a trust and love for God.

Let God's name be praised upon the earth!

Let your praise to God be continuous.

The Lord is worthy of praise in the best and worse of times.

Fill your heart with praise and worship...find a quiet moment (and place) to listen to praise and worship songs.

Don't let your problems prevent you from praising God! (James 1:2-3)

What can you praise God for today?!

Praise has the power to place you beyond the sting of your circumstances.

Get better not bitter...and praise God all the way!

Thank God for what you have. Trust God for what you need.

Don't allow your problems to keep you from praising God.

Have you thanked God today?!

Use this day to celebrate Christ!

Be thankful for the smallest gifts.

Don't lose your voice of praise...situations should not dictate (or lower) your volume! Praise Him more!

Regardless of the trials, tribulations, and hardships that come your way, allow thanksgiving to shield you from the 'call' of temptation and sin.

TOP ^

Prayer

Before trying to accomplish something on your own, ask God to change minds, mend hearts, calm souls, and bring a prosperous outcome.

Sometimes...the only thing to do is pray.

Begin each day with prayer.

Let your prayers be many and your praise nonstop.

>Prayer does a body good.

Learn to use prayer as your 'weapon' of choice.

Take time in prayer to listen to the Lord.

Sometimes you need a place to quiet your soul in the Father's prescence.

Don't be so fast to do for God that you forget to be with God.

God knows the desires of your heart, and when He comes with an answer, don't be upset because it's not what YOU expected.

Someone you know is in need of prayer.

When you don't know what to do...pray. When you know what to do...pray.

Prayer is never overrated.

Father, please help me...

When a person comes to your mind (especially someone you haven't seen in a while), say a prayer for them.

Prayer should not be an afterthought...

When a person comes to your mind (especially someone you haven't seen or heard from in a while), say a prayer for them.

Each person you know is in need of prayer.

Share your heart with God.

Praying for someone is free.

Speak to the Lord about your cares and concerns.

Pray for others...even when you think they don't deserve it, for that when you need it most.

Remember those that are less fortunate - in thought, prayer, and deed.

When people are going through difficult times, pray for them rather than gossip about them.

Pray for your pastor (and spiritual leaders).

Tie 'prayer' to each of your life situations.

Keep praying.

Allow prayer to be your first impulse and not a last resort.

Be an intercessor...

Prayer does change things. Often it begins with you and how you see your situations.

Pray before you act.

Pray for someone you know...right now.

Intercede for others.

Say a prayer for those in need.

God hears your prayers.

Churches are to be houses of prayer.

Dealing with people requires patiences and prayer.

Pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Before trying to accomplish something on your own, ask God for help.

Going out to dinner with friends - $25. Two hour call home - $40. Knowing when to pray and when to keep your mouth shut among friends and family - priceless.

Don't laugh at people doing wrong - pray for them.

Pray for someone that needs God's help.

Pray for those that fall...pray for those that stand.

TOP ^

Preparation

Enjoy your 'place' of preparation. You'll love the outcome if you hold onto the Lord's way.

God will use anyone (at any age, profession, etc.) and anything to mentor you. Don't despise what He sends because it's not in the manner you'd expect.

When you're busy reading your own press, you miss the headlines God has prepared for you.

TOP ^

Pride

Do not place yourself in a position where you feel too BIG to receive instruction or help.

Do not allow a prideful attitude keep you from apologizing for an error or mistake.

Don't allow pride to keep you from doing the 'right' thing.

Pride keeps someone from saying, I love you, I'm sorry, I was wrong, forgive me, can we start again...

Watch out for the bait of pride.

Do not place yourself in a position where you feel too 'big' to receive instruction or help.

Pride blinds people from the obstacles in their own path.

Allow the Lord to set your priorities.

Allow your priorities to be formed from your love of God and wanting to please Him.

Keep your focus on the Lord's priorities for your life.

Deal with people as if it will be the last time you see them.

You can't force people to get along.

What types of 'seeds' are you planting in people's lives?

The way you treat people should not determin how you will treat them.

Take the first step to restore a relationship.

Build relationships upon love not rules and regulations.

People are not disposable.

A grudge is the 'dead end' on the road of relationships.

Do not be quick to enter friendships or partnerships.

TOP ^

Responsibility

Stand... Rise above the drama. Remove yourself from complaining and pointing fingers. Take responsibility for your actions. Stand...

Don't run from responsibility...embrace it.

There is great restoration in the presence of the Lord.

Take time to rest.

Take a day each week to rest from the weariness of life...a Sabbath.

Allot quiet moments in the day to refresh, reflect, and redirect yourself.

Take time to relax and restore your body and soul.

Be attentive to your spiritual, physical, and mental temperament.

Take time to refresh, reflect, and rebuild.

Revenge

Revenge never satisfies.

Let God be your vindicator.

There's no need to prove you're not a pushover.

Overcome the desire to act out of revenge and hate.

Answering evil with evil make you...evil. Answer evil with good and allow the Lord to vindicate you.

Respond to evil with an answer of good.

Don't treat people badly for something someone else did to you.

The best 'revenge' is to love instead of hate, support instead of sabotage, and forgive rather than offend.

Vindication comes from the Lord.

TOP ^

Righteousness

Keep pressing toward righteousness.

Take your stand to live righteously.

Take a stand for righteousness...especially in the face of adversity.

There is a time when it is more important to be righteous than 'right.'

Saturate your life with righteousness.

God knows what you have need of...seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:25-34) .

A commitment to righteousness is not just a one-time event. Everyday you will face situations that will require a commitment (and re-commitment) to living rightly before the Lord.

TOP ^

Sacrifice

God gave His ONLY Son for you. What are you willing to give for Him?

TOP ^

Salvation

Jesus paid the price for our salvation.

Death is when true life begins.

There's only one place you want your name to be known...the Lamb's Book of Life.

Even before you knew the Lord, He knew you and was working to draw you closer to Himself.

Jesus died so that you may be free from the wages of sin and death.

Give people the opportunity to work out their salvation.

Most people only want the Lord to help them out of their current situation. The Lord wants to save your soul for all eternity.

TOP ^

Self-Awareness

Know your strengths and weaknesses.

Remain open to learning more about yourself.

Be aware of yourself (thoughts and heart) and your surroundings.

TOP ^

Self-Control

A lack of self-control can bring a loss in credibility.

With self-discipline come great rewards.

Zeal without restraint is not good.

Know when you need to give yourself a 'timeout.'

A lack of self-control can bring a loss of credibility.

Self-discipline is the denial of things detrimental to your well-being and soul.

The lack of self-control is a sign of weakness (Proverbs 25:28).

TOP ^

Selfish

Selfishness is an enemy to godliness.

Get to a 'place' where you see beyond your own needs.

The aftertaste of selfishness is sin.

You must stop living for the god of you...your wants, your desires, your needs, your behavior.

Selfishness is of the world - its culture and standard for living.

Selfishness closes doors of opportunity.

Deny self.

Self-control is paramount.

TOP ^

Self-Worth

You are not worthless.

Bear good fruit...for that is how you will be known (Matthew 7:15-23).

People don't define who you are...

You don't have to be someone God didn't create you to be.

TOP ^

Service

Your level of service and commitment to others must be in relation to the standard that was given to you (from Christ) and not your own.

Give the best of your day to serving others.

Sadly, many people want to hear 'well done' from people rather than from God.

Serving the Lord is not a sign of weakness.

Don't allow interruptions in YOUR schedule sprout ungodly behavior.

Serving others is not about you, but other people and the mission to accomplish.

God wants you to do great things in the world. Where can you help?

Allow the Lord to you for who you are and be comfortable doing it - to His glory.

Serving the Lord is not accomplished through comfortable living.

Give the Lord (and His people) the very best of what you have.

Let your service for the Lord grow out of your love for Him.

Serving others is not about you...it is about others and the mission to accomplish. Some tasks will seem bigger than others (or most), but remember that you are an important part of the Lord's 'team,' no matter how small the task.

Don't allow 'you' to get in your way toward serving the Lord.

A life completely dedicated to Christ is one well served.

Keep yourself in a 'position' to be fit for the Master's use.

Allow your work/service to do the 'talking' instead of your mouth.

Are you willing to do whatever it takes to serve God faithfully?!

Don't forget to care for the volunteers that serve within your midst.

Keep yourself in a position to be fit for the Master's use.

Serving God should not be an afterthought.

Don't allow a denial of position or title to keep you from serving and supporting others.

Serve God to please Him, not yourself.

You don't have to be in the 'spotlight' to do the work of God.

God wants to do great things in the world. Where can you help?

Your service to others is developed from your love and commitment to the Lord.

What can you do to help others witness and experience God's grace and love?

Build a lifestyle of service through volunteering and giving (time, money, talents). Opportunities to bless others are all around you...

TOP ^

Sin

Sin never satisfies.

You don't have to take the bait of temptation.

Don't give temptation the attention it desirs.

Impulses of the flesh result in reflexes of sin.

Don't tempt anyone to sin.

Drawing closer to Jesus means moving away from the world and sin.

Through the acceptability of sinful living, we have witnessed a great chasm between ourselves and God.

Avoid the bait of temptation.

If you fall in sin, don't just lay in the streets looking for sympathy...rise up (Proverbs 24:16).

Justifying why you can do something God said not to is still sin...no matter who else agreed with you.

God gave Himself to save you from your sins. How should you respond to Him in word and deed?

Curiosity is not for the soul.

Don't give 'life' to sin...for as you give it 'life,' its plan is to take yours.

A guarantee of sin is death.

Don't be deceived...a little sin destroys you just as much as a 'big' one. Keep your life clean through the blood of Jesus...repent.

We struggle with sin because we choose to, not because the Father is not able to keep us.

A life 'hidden' from the world is in full view of the Lord.

Sin is a selfish act that seeks to live beyond the obedience of a holy God.

Temptation has many disguises...don't get caught off guard.

Trying to justify sinful actions does not make it right - it's still sin.

Stay on your guard against temptation.

Answer temptation with the Word of God.

We know sin is bad, yet we fight to stay connected the few seconds of false pleasure than be free of its destruction...choose repentance.

Holding on to sin isn't worth the price you have to pay...surrender your life to God.

There comes a time when you have to let go of the sinful desires...now is a good time...

Stay out of the playpen of sin.

Sin will never be 'worth' its wages.

What are you allowing to keep you from living God's way?!

Leave sin alone...it's nothing to play with!

Say no to temptation.

Trying to justify sinful actions does not make it right - it's still sin.

Stop trying to justify your sins...REPENT!

Regardless of the trials, tribulations, ans hardships that come your way, allow thanksgiving to shield you from the 'call' of temptation and sin.

Sin destroys everything it touches and Jesus gives life to all who believe in Him.

You don't have to sin.

Sin blinds you from the possibility of hope.

Cleanse yourself from the poison of sin.

Walk away from situations that may lead to sin.

You don't have to live in submission to the flesh.

TOP ^

Sorrow

Don't rejoice in someone else's misery.

TOP ^

Speaking

Let your words be few, yet meaningful.

Choose your words carefully.

Closed lips goes a long way!

The Lord does speak...be ready to listen...

Biting your tongue will spare someone's blood from being spilled from their heart.

Let your words and actions be seasoned with love.

Arguments steer you from paths of love and peace.

TOP ^

Starting Over

Today is your day for a fresh start.

When you repent, your sins are forgiven. Don't allow the reminder of sin (from satan) to ruin the clothes of a washed soul before God. Live in the assurance that comes through Christ, not that of the world. The world condemns, Christ forgives.

You are not a mistake.

Surrender. Confess. Repent.

Lord, renew us today.

Enjoy your 'place' of preparation...you're gonna like the outcome if you hold on to the Lord's way.

If you fall, be quick to dust yourself off and get back up.

Precious Father, renew me in Your presence and allow my life to bring You honor and glory.

Set your focus on the Lord and His ways. Allow His ways to consume you and transform your mind and life.

Don't give up...if you fell down, stand up, dust yourself off, and keep moving FORWARD (see Proverbs 24:16)!

Return to your first love - your Father God.

When you make a mistake, take responsibility, ask for forgiveness where needed, reconcile relationships, and press on.

When starting over with something, you don't have to take on the entire problem at once. Start small, but remain consistent.

If you should fall, dust yourself off and stand again.

A fresh start does not have to begin with on New Year's Day...today can be the day!

Allow today to be a stepping stone to great things.

Do not allow what other people say about you to define who you are or will be. God has determined it for you if you choose to believe.

TOP ^

Strength

Allow the Lord to strengthen you.

Draw your strength from the Lord.

TOP ^

Study

How can you use your travel time (to/from work, school, etc.) for biblical study?

TOP ^

Submit

When you surrender your will to the Lord, you will find greater freedom in Christ than you ever had living in the world.

TOP ^

Success

Celebrate the success of others.

Your success is not determined by the number of people that know your name.

Not everyone will be happy about your success.

TOP ^

Suffering

Temporary pleasure (in the flesh), eternal loss. Temporary pain (in the flesh) for God's glory, eternal gain.

TOP ^

Support

Surround yourself with people that will help you stand, not people that keep you sitting on the curb...complaining.

Help people rise to the potential God has prepared for them and not the standard YOU think they should achieve.

Allow your service and support to be given without cost.

How can you show your appreciation to others?

Get to a 'place' where you 'see' beyond your own needs.

'Interruptions' are not meant to take something from you, but to give something to those that need it most.

Supporting another person may amount to nothing more than your presence.

Do not seek your own way first...think of others first.

The burdens of life are too heavy to carry on your own. Give them to the Lord.

As you come out of trials and tribulations, reach back to help others do the same.

Surround yourself with people that motivate you toward success and godliness.

Be a positive influence.

Learn when to stretch and retract cords of support.

Have a solid group of counselors and supporters (Proverbs 15:22).

Be a source of help, support, and encouragement for those in need...especially those that withdraw themselves from the public.

Learn what motivates people, then become their biggest supporter.

Be dependable.

Prepare people to succeed, not fail.

TOP ^

Teaching

The earth (and everything in it) is God's classroom.

TOP ^

Temptation

It only takes the brain a split second to produce the thoughts and feelings of something you glanced at...guard yourself.

If you allow your eyes to wonder, you may see something that will fill your heart, mind, and soul with temptation and sin.

Temptation may seem sweet, but it's sour to your soul.

Deny the flesh.

Remove yourself from the calls of the old nature.

Know yourself.

When temptation comes look to the Lord instead of focusing on the temptation.

How will you overcome temptation if you're unwilling to stop entertaining its invitation?

Running away from temptation is a sign of strength...not weakness.

Don't allow temptation to have a 'say' in your life...fight back!

There is a way out of temptation, but you have to want to take it.

Don't be so focus on the destination that you miss the warning signs along the way.

Do not give temptation the attention it desires.

Stay on your guard against temptation.

Don't get caught off guard by the call of temptation.

Don't allow thoughts of temptation to go unanswered. Make a firm decision to say 'no.'

Curiosity of tempting situations can lead you down the wrong path.

Have people in your life that will help you overcome temptation.

Be watchful for temptation. It reveals itself in different ways.

Don't allow the winds of temptation and trials to cause you to fall. Keep standing on the Word.

How will you overcome temptation if you're unwilling to stop entertaining it invitation?

You don't have to give into temptation...you don't have to sin.

When temptation comes, look to the Lord instead of focusing on the subject (or substance) of the temptation.

TOP ^

Testimony

One of the ways you can share your faith with others is by telling your life story and testimony.

TOP ^

Thankfulness

In what ways can you thank your Heavenly Father on this day?

What are you thankful for?

Give thanks for all the Lord has done.

Instead of complaining about what someone should have given you, be grateful for what they gave.

TOP ^

Thinking

Think on things that are true, honest, lovely, just, pure, of good report, and where there is virtue and praise.

Take a stand against negative thoughts.

Trying to use the same old tactics and expecting a different result doesn't work. A fresh start begins with a fresh thought.

Fill your day with thoughts of the Lord - His majesty, grace, and love.

Negative thoughts form a thick wall around your mind...nothing good gets in, nothing good gets out.

Untamed thoughts are dangerous to your soul.

Reject negative and defeating thoughts.

Being consumed with the thoughts of Christ silence the calls from the world (and flesh).

Continuing to think about a bad situation will do nothing but keep the fire of anger kindled.

Don't allow your mind to drift toward sin.

As God's ways and thoughts are not like our own, why are we surprised when He doesn't act as we would have thought?

Don't forfeit the mental battle of faith.

Don't let your mind go into 'neutral,' for when you do, you never know who (or what) will take the wheel.

Have a 'made up mind' to serve the Lord.

Get your thoughts 'right.'

Don't allow your thoughts to wander off. Keep them on the path of righteousness.

An unstable mind does not build confidence in others.

Keep your mind active on Christ.

Live your life with the mind of Christ.

Overcome defeating thoughts with thoughts of God (and His Word).

Continuing to think about a bad situation will do nothing but keep the fire of anger kindled. It's like adding layer upon layer of pain, frustration, and offense...and believe me, once these layers harden, they're hard to remove!

In order to be different, you must first think different.

Think about the interests of others above your own.

Allow positive thoughts to fill your life with hope and expectancy.

Your perception of Jesus will affect your response to Him.

You are what you think.

Just because you think about living a different life, it doesn't mean that 'life' will just appear. You have to do something about it (Romans 12:1-2; James 1:22-25).

Untamed thoughts are dangerous to the soul.

Reduce negative thoughts and situations.

Don't allow your thoughts to meditated on temptation...it will only lead to sin.

Don't allow ungodly thoughts to roam free in your mind - kick them out!

TOP ^

Time

Be respectful of other people's time.

Quality time is a precious gift to its recipient.

If you have free time, use it to educate yourself or edify someone else...

Make the most of your time.

Instead of spending money on gifts that fade, whither, and spoil, give your time, talent, and heart. Your investment has a greater return.

Learn to be a wise steward with your time. Time is non-refundable.

Use your time wisely - there's no refunds or exchanges.

The Lord wants the 'best' of your time and resources, not the scraps and leftovers.

Spend time quietly before the Lord - to be consumed with His presence and allow Him to speak.

Quality time is something that doesn't cost much, but reaps great rewards.

One of the most precious gifts you can give is your time.

TOP ^

Trials

When times are tough, seek the Lord first, not last.

Sometimes...the only thing to do is pray...

Has your family been receiving the 'scraps' of your time?

Respond to difficult situations with the Word of God.

As God brings you out of trials, don't forget to reach back to help others.

Do not despise the day of testing and trials, they are the training field for Christ-like character.

Allow God to be your first 'option' for help...instead of your last.

Don't allow hardships to keep you down...dust yourself off and stand again.

Keep your focus on the Lord, especially when troubling times arise.

In spite of your circumstances, serve God.

TOP ^

Trouble

Trouble is often wrapped in unsuspecting packages.

Being a troublemaker may seem easy and fun on the flesh, but no good will come out of it. Be a peacemaker... (see Matthew 5:9).

TOP ^

Troubled Times

Don't belittle other people's situations. What may seem 'small' to you may be monumental to them.

God does not intend for your trials and tribulations to destroy you or keep you in sin. He wants to teach you how to be an overcomer...if you will let Him. Allow your 'test' to become a testimony for His glory.

Psalm 9:9 (KJV) - The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

When you're feeling lonely, the Lord is always near...waiting to hear from you.

Regardless of what man has done, don't turn from God.

When trials and tribulation come, the last thing we want to hear is a scripture, but that's the first thing we should want to receive.

Trying times can be opportunities to grow and trust in the Lord.

In the midst of trying times, joy can be found in giving to those in need.

In times of uncertainty, don't lose your faith and trust in God. It is in these times that your faith and trust must be strongest (read Hebrews 11-12).

Jesus cares for you...cast your cares to Him.

There can come a pain in your life that suts so deep, and you must decide to trust the only One who can bring healing.

TOP ^

Trust

I'll trust You Lord.

God's desire is to lead you to His will...trust Him.

God has great things in store for you. Trust His ways, teaching, and correction.

Trust builds responsibility.

In order to trust in the Lord, you cannot trust yourself.

The Lord has brought you a long way. Keep trusting Him to help you the rest of the way.

God will work things out in His time.

I think when we finally realize God is smarter than us...we'll trust Him to guide our decisions.

There comes a time when you must know (and understand) when something is no longer in your hands, but the Lord's. You must be willing to trust the Lord to perform what no other person is capable of doing.

God provides.

Place your trust in God...He knows what He's doing.

In spite how things look around you, hold on to the Lord.

Set your security, confidence, and trust in the Lord for not everyone will be on your side.

Don't limit God.

Trust God for everything.

Trust God to direct your steps.

Set your security, confidence, and trust in the Lord...for not everyone will be on your side.

Place your trust in God's word.

Place your trust in God. He knows what He's doing.

The Lord has brought you a long way...keep trusting Him to help you the rest of the way.

Trust God...step out of the 'boat.'

Trusting God will require a release of your will.

Trusting God requires complete dependence on Him...not some, a little, or when it seems convenient.

TOP ^

Truth

A person that will not wait for the truth will drown in confusion.

You discern what is false by learning what is true.

Sadly, there will be people that will refuse to hear the truth...even while attending church and declaring themselves to be Christians.

Where the truth is withheld, lies become reality.

The Truth speaks for itself.

Truth is more than skin deep.

If you're in search of Truth, go to the Source.

Sadly, there will be people that will refuse to hear the truth...even while attending church and declaring themselves to be Christian.

The truth that matters is that from the Lord.

The truth can be painful, but it comes with the hope of freedom.

How will you be able to tell what is false if you never learn what is true?

Truth does not hide its intentions.

The truth may be unpleasant to share at times, but its benefit outweighs keeping silent.

The truth may sting, but it also heals.

A life of truth is not curious about paths of temptation and sin.

Do not be afraid to tell the truth. It will offend some, but it has the ability to free many others.

TOP ^

Understanding

Every situation has different needs...know what they are.

The Lord understands what you are experiencing and will help you, grow you, and receive glory out of it.

Knowledge is a key that unlocks many doors of life.

When you need understanding on a matter, ask the Lord.

A child strives to understand and follow the instructions from their parents. How much more should we with the Lord?

You cannot fit God into your understanding...if you try, you will frustrate your life and miss His will for you.

TOP ^

Unity

In order for unity to take place, we must first be in submission to the Lord.

Unity within the body of Christ is achievable...or did we forget that all things are possible through God.

TOP ^

Victory

There is victory in Jesus.

You don't have to live a defeated lifestyle...there is victory and liberty in Jesus! Live for Him!

TOP ^

Vision (Dreams)

Don't be afraid of the vision you received. It won't bite.

Breathe new life into your dreams and desires. Allow them to live!

Don't lose sight of the word/vision/dream given to you from the Lord.

TOP ^

Weakness

A perceived 'weakness' can be used as a strength.

TOP ^

Wisdom

Learn from your past mistakes.

Spiritual wisdom does not come by experience, but by the Spirit.

If you don't know something, ask God for wisdom and wait for His answer (see James 1:5-8).

>Sadly, many people don't want to hear about wisdom until they've gotten themselves into trouble. Wisdom don't want to hear your pleas then (Proverbs 1:20-33). Wisdom is meant to keep you clear of trouble.

TOP ^

Work

Be diligent in handling your affairs.

Potential is worthless if not acted upon.

If you choose to do something, give 100%.

Find time to rest from hard work.

Many people are willing to reap the benefits of hard work, yet not many of them are willing to work hard. Don't be one of them.

Give the Lord (and His people) the very best of what you have everyday.

You don't help your co-workers by doing their work.

Your life in God should not remain at 'I believe.' The harvest is plentiful and ripe.

Work hard.

Be careful not to over extend yourself. You will only plant seeds of burn out and stress.

How can you bring glory to God in your workplace?

Don't think the 'work' you do for God is in vain, unappreciated, undervalued, or too small.

Be careful not to overextend yourself. You will only plant seeds of burnout and stress.

Some tasks will seem bigger than others (or most), but remember that you are an important part of the team - no matter how small the task.

Allow your work to be a sermon, fit for the Master's use.

Let your work speak for itself.

Allow your work/service do the 'talking' instead of your mouth.

Let your hands be filled with abundant work.

Let your work speak of your character.

Don't allow your emotions to interfere with your work.

TOP ^

Worldliness

Your flesh doesn't care if you live or die.

Following the world will get you lost.

The flesh has no fear of God.

The quality and quantity of your possessions is not an indicator of your character.

Jesus can free you from the chains of this world.

All God, no world.

The world will never be able to solve the problems of your life.

The world will never match the freedom that is found in Jesus.

Instead of filling yourself with the world, allow your satisfaction to come from righteousness (Matthew 5:6).

Don't allow the desire of money, positions, and possessions to consume you.

A faithful life before the Lord is not considerate of the world's affairs.

The world will never be able to solve the problem of sin in your life.

Live for the Lord's pleasure and not the world's.

For some reason, we've accepted the notion that we must always upgrade and have the 'latest and greatest' when what we have is just fine. Fight the urge to spend more, waste time, and find out that what you had at first was actually better.

With so many distractions in the world, keep your focus on the Lord.

Don't hold a tight grip on material things.

Living as God desires will require you to turn away from the world's standard of living.

Don't allow the world to affect how you see God.

Don't allow the 'cares' of the world to cause you to lose your identity in Christ.

The world strives to be known by all, but does not take the time to know Jesus. Don't be like the world.

Nothing in the world will bring you a fraction of the satisfaction that is found in Jesus.

Even one instance of living in the flesh can create a lasting impression.

There are many ways to be polluted by the world.

The world will never be able to give you the love God can.

The flesh has no desire to live for God.

TOP ^

Worry

Don't worry about things you have no control over. Keep your trust and focus on the Lord.

Don't worry about things you can't change.

Worrying blinds you from seeking a solution.

Worrying is a sign that our trust in God is not complete.

Cast your cares upon Jesus.

You are my God...and God alone...

Worship the King!

O come let us adore Him...CHRIST the LORD!
