The book of Revelation is the 'revelation of Jesus Christ' (Revelation 1:1) given to John and last book of the Holy Scriptures. The Greek word for Revelation can be translated from Apocalypse (transliteration: apokalypsis), which is a disclosure of truth, manifestation or appearance.1 Revelation is written to the seven churches in Asia and reveals the final judgments upon the earth; the devil (and his 'spirits'); all people of the world; and the revealing of the new heaven and earth to come. In Revelation will be found the beginning for the overcomers and the end for the wicked.
Revelation is shrouded in many symbolic images where some are revealed, some are futuristic, and others still remain a mystery. May this study compel you to become an overcomer whose name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
