In today's society, many people are living with sexual addictions, fetishes, etc. - and this is within the church. Across the spectrum of life's dilemmas, people find themselves stuck being the way they believe they were created (by no choosing of their own) and living as a child of God. So what to do? Many have tried (or portrayed) to live for God during the day (or at least in public) and then in the darkness, at night, or when no one is looking, they will satisfy their longing desires.

Even though such desires may have come in early childhood, before you knew the Lord, or much about life itself, if the Bible speaks against them, they are incapable with such living. Sexual addictions of any sort are spiritual strongholds. All of the senses can be captivated by alluring temptations driven to keep you feeding your 'track' of wiring, without a thought about your life with the Lord on this earth or what will occur upon your death or His return.

God does love the world, and that is why He sent His Son on our behalf. He died so that we could be freed from the penalty of sin and death and live eternally through believing in His Son (John 3:16-17). This type of belief is not 'I believe in God,' but live how I want, but 'I believe in God and you can tell by my actions.' (And the bible proves this time and again for those that place their complete faith and belief in Him.) The Bible is covered with statements how we will be judged by our actions and works (Matthew 7:21-23, Matthew 12:36-37, Matthew 16:27, Matthew 25:31-46; John 14:15; Acts 10:34-35; Romans 2:13; 1 Corinthians 3:9-15; 2 Corinthians 5:9-10; Galatians 6:7-10; Philippians 2:12; Titus 1:16; James 1:22-27, James 2:14-26, James 4:17; Revelation 20:12, Revelation 22:14-15).

Though you may have begged the Lord to change you and have received no 'answer' or at least the one you want, this does not give you an excuse to live according to the flesh. That type of 'wiring' (sin, for that's what it is) is squarely against what God has commanded and will lead us to everlasting destruction. Our response should not, nor cannot be to live in the desires of our flesh or 'wiring.' We must live for the Lord at all costs, for the wages of our sin will be death (Romans 6:23).

Do not be fooled people of God. God is not to be mocked (Galatians 6:7). He is holy and perfect and calls us to be the same (Matthew 5:48). We know these Scriptures, but not know them to the point where we want to live them out. God's standard has not changed from the beginning of time. He is the same and does not change. The flesh will not give up, and nor should you (Galatians 5:16-17). Don't allow temporary pleasures in the flesh to write your eternal destiny in the lake of fire (that's where hell is going).

Nothing in your life has taken God by surprise. He knows about your 'wiring' and loves you dearly. However, living in that manner will not bring about the life God desires in righteousness. He wants us all to be overcomers and endure temptation (James 1:12-16; Revelation 21:7). You cannot have both sin and God. There will be many days that you will have to fight off the desires of the flesh, and it will pay off in the end on the Last Day. Not only that, but the Lord can use you to reach others now that face the same struggles in the flesh in order to strengthen, restore, and rebuild for God's glory.

Do not believe the lie that you can stay the way you are (giving into temptation and sin) and still be redeemed. It is sin...and sin will be dealt with by God in the judgment.

2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Live holy for God and serve Him with your whole heart and everything within you. Repent.
