Being insulted, persecuted, and lied on doesn’t feel good in our human nature. Our human nature desires to be loved, appreciated, and accepted. Receiving anything less can drive us to anger, hate, and seeking some type of vindication—things that draw us from seeing the blessing that comes from God through it.
So you’re being insulted, persecuted, and lied on, take heart. Be joyful! You are blessed! A great reward in heaven is coming your way!
Keep your focus on the Lord, His word, and His purpose for you.
Matthew 5:11-12 AMP—Blessed [morally courageous and spiritually alive with life-joy in God’s goodness] are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil things against you because of [your association with] Me. Be glad and exceedingly joyful, for your reward in heaven is great [absolutely inexhaustible]; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
