Mission 25 (M25) is the ministerial mandate that guides and governs the discipleship, outreach, and community engagement of our ministry. Rooted in Matthew 25:31–46, M25 reflects the heart of Jesus’ teaching that faith is demonstrated through obedience—specifically in how His followers care for “the least of these.”
Mission 25 is not a standalone program.
It is a discipleship-driven mandate that forms believers spiritually and mobilizes them practically.
Biblical Foundation
Matthew 25:31–46 (often called The Final Judgment) presents a defining standard for discipleship. In this passage, Jesus identifies Himself with the most vulnerable and declares that service to them is service to Him.
Christ highlights six distinct groups:
- The Hungry
- The Thirsty
- The Homeless (Stranger)
- Those Without Clothing
- The Sick (Hospitalized)
- The Imprisoned
Mission 25 exists to respond to this passage with intentional obedience, not abstraction.
Mission Statement
Mission 25 equips and mobilizes disciples of Jesus Christ, formed through spiritual foundations and sent in obedience, to serve the six groups identified in Matthew 25:31–46, while empowering churches and communities to replicate this work for the glory of God.
Discipleship Foundations of Mission 25
All Mission 25 ministry flows from four discipleship foundations. These ensure that service is Christ-centered, Spirit-led, and sustainable.
Compassion
Love for God is demonstrated through tangible love for others, especially the vulnerable.
Communion
Faithful service flows from abiding in God through prayer, worship, and His presence.
Community
Disciples are formed and strengthened within the body of Christ, not in isolation.
Commission
Every disciple is sent by the Holy Spirit to proclaim and demonstrate God’s love.
The Mission 25 Discipleship Flow
Mission 25 follows a clear, repeatable movement:
Formed → Sent → Serving
- Formed through Communion and Community
- Sent through Commission
- Serving with Compassion
This flow ensures that ministry is rooted in spiritual formation rather than activity alone.
The Six Mission 25 Ministry Focus Areas
Mission 25 provides structured ministry opportunities across six biblical lanes. Disciples are equipped to serve in one or more areas according to calling, gifting, and capacity.
- Food Security – Feeding the hungry
- Water & Basic Necessities – Giving drink to the thirsty
- Homeless Outreach & Hospitality – Welcoming the stranger
- Clothing & Essential Goods – Clothing the needy
- Hospital & Health Ministry – Caring for the sick
- Prison & Reentry Ministry – Visiting and restoring the imprisoned
Each area is a tangible expression of compassion grounded in discipleship.
Training, Mobilization & Replication
Through Mission 25, our ministry:
- Trains disciples for hands-on, Christ-centered service
- Develops leaders to steward ministry lanes effectively
- Provides practical ministry opportunities without burnout
- Equips churches and partners to adopt and replicate M25 initiatives
Mission 25 is intentionally designed to be scalable, adaptable, and reproducible across churches, communities, and regions.
Theological Posture
Mission 25 is anchored in the conviction that:
- Obedience is the fruit of genuine faith
- Compassion is an expression of the Gospel
- Spiritual formation precedes spiritual fruit
- Service to the vulnerable reflects the heart of Christ
Conclusion
Mission 25 is a call to alignment, aligning belief with action, discipleship with obedience, and love with service.
As Jesus makes clear in Matthew 25, when we serve the least, we serve Him.
Our prayer is that through Mission 25:
And Christ is glorified.
Disciples are formed.
Communities are strengthened.
Churches are mobilized.
