Throughout the Bible, there’s a theme where God uses enemies to advance His will and propel His people toward their destiny and purpose.
If you have enemies coming against you:
- remain standing
- look to God
- pray (in the Spirit)
- trust His word (written and spoken)
- meditate on His word
- put on the full armor of God
- understand that NO weapon formed against you will prosper, even if it is used
- repent, consecrate (which requires separation from certain people, places, and things), and remain in right standing with God
- don’t allow the accusations of the enemy to sway you, even if you have sinned…if you repented, you are cleansed and forgiven…see yourself as God sees you
- know that your life of faith grows deepest in your valleys
- know that God NEVER leaves you nor forsakes you
- overcome evil with good
- forgive
- show mercy
- be sober-minded and not in your emotions (guard your thoughts diligently)
- look for God in every situation, even the bad ones (find a way to give thanks in all things…)
- remember, ALL things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose
- remember that many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them from all of them
- change your perspective to see God in all things
- count it all joy when you go through various temptations and ALLOW patience to have her perfect work so you may be complete and entire, wanting nothing
- know that God will never lead you anywhere or allow anything to happen to you that He will not sustain you to make it through successfully. Allow Him to be glorified through your life so your testimony is sure.
Grace and peace.
